She's going to pimp out Scarlett.

doctorsnoddy · 30/09/2024 14:22

The perils of self employment Holly

Binglebong · 30/09/2024 14:24

I'm very disappointed with today's effort.

Binglebong · 30/09/2024 14:25

Her eyelids moved!

Binglebong · 30/09/2024 14:27

Her voice is suddenly fine i notice.

I'm very disappointed with today's effort.

I know.

And see- the flat mate is up to something.

TheBeardedClown · 30/09/2024 14:28

Oh eff off Rosie and take your annoying family with you.

Binglebong · 30/09/2024 14:28

Oooh Rosie and Graham tomorrow. When I can't watch live. Bugger.

Raahh · 30/09/2024 14:29

It comes to something when I prefer the Rhuma episodes. But the episodes with Rob strangely work.

And are far better than Rosie. Hmm.

TheBeardedClown · 30/09/2024 14:38

I want a coat like Rhuma's!

Raahh · 30/09/2024 14:48

I'd be tempted to sleep in it Grin

The woman who interviewed Kirsty plays Fallon in The Archers.

OCaledonia · 30/09/2024 17:07

The woman who interviewed Kirsty plays Fallon in The Archers.

I wish I’d taken more notice of her now!!

Allthehorsesintheworld · 30/09/2024 17:56

@OCaledonia just watched back her interviewing Kirsty. Now I know I can hear Fallon but I’d never have guessed.

Binglebong · 30/09/2024 20:56

Just realised Kirsty is no longer in the credits. Is she really gone or is this a bluff?

Raahh · 30/09/2024 21:03

Bingle From what I've read, I think she may have actually left- which is disappointing, because it felt like her being pushed out was leading to something.
But Doctors has a habit of doing this. It sets up something that looks like it could be a half decent (ishGrin) storyline- and then it fizzles out and what actually ends up happening is pretty underwhelming.

I think the only time they have thought things through and played the long game, was the 'Jimmi in the Clink' story lineGrin.

Not sure I can cope with Rosie til December.

Raahh · 30/09/2024 21:08

Oh that is nice Bingle- it's good it is being recognised. Although we complain about the storylines, it does have a place in the schedules, and it will be missed.
And lots of industry types/actors have come forward since it was axed and said how Doctors has been a great place for writers/ actors starting in the business- and that there are not many opportunities left like that now.

I think it's a mistake really. I always say, I still miss Holby. The BBC has never really replaced it. They won't replace Doctors- and I still don't see how it ever cost them much (watching it, I don't see where the money goes Grin).

MadisonAvenue · 01/10/2024 01:35

I’m sure I read that the set needed updating which would cost too much, but if they were filming episodes in there then there couldn’t have been much wrong with it and it was clearly still usable.

There seems to be some confusion as to whether it’s on next week or if it’s taking a break. The TV mags reported it as being off until the end of the month but the BBC page shows episodes dated for next week.

Madison I always read ahead on the BBC pages, (I like a spoiler Grin) - and I'm confused about the supposed 'break' as well. Although one of the episodes listed is a bit out of sync, if there is no break, iyswim?

I don't really understand why there would be a break so soon after the summer one, though anyway.

Forced schedule changes because of unforeseen things (Queen dying, elections every 5 minutes, disasters in other countries) are one thing, but a random 3 week break, when they have just been off all summer (and ending for good in December) seems very odd.

Raahh · 01/10/2024 14:03

Afternoon!

Where will all these actors from the 70s and 80s find somewhere to do one episode when Doctors goes Sad.

Raahh · 01/10/2024 14:05

Off to a good start there- will Graham have an issue with 'older people in the work place' now?

Raahh · 01/10/2024 14:07

Ruhma is not taking this very seriously GrinGreat hat,

Raahh · 01/10/2024 14:08

She doesn't look well.

Raahh · 01/10/2024 14:10

She's drugged her.
