I don't think Amazon MGM realised that soaps need long term planning of years. Renewing it year by year was never going to produce engaging storylines. It just isn't a format that works on streaming.

The fact they shoot around actor availability is also really killing any momentum.

Whilst it’s sad I don’t feel that surprised by the news. I feel like it’s game over now.

I haven't enjoyed it anywhere near as much for the two amazon years. It's very noticeably done on a tight budget! There's been flashes of great stuff that remind of the old days (David's death, the outback week for e.g.). But I always knew I'd stick with it anyway because I felt sure eventually it would get the viewing figures and therefore the budget increases and come good again - that takes time that amazon hasn't allowed for.
It just seems such a shame that it's now limping out in a fizzle - would have been better to end on the big bang from a couple of years ago.

They can all go and be in the next James Bond now!

Just came here to mention about Neighbours being cancelled. It's a shame but I'm not surprised, it's nothing like the original Neighbours we loved. Karl and Susan are barely in it and they keep adding in random Americans... Not that I have anything against Americans... The storylines revolving around Krista are boring and as for the big 40th anniversary episode it's not going to get better.

Ah sad news that it's ending again but must admit I haven't watched at all recently. The streaming format just didn't work for me and a lot of the characters and storyline weren't very interesting so quickly got out of the routine of watching. It's been like sex with your ex - nice to reminisce but ultimately it ended once and it will end again!

Seems a bit pointless watching now as it's coming to an end.

I think it's partly a case as none so blind as them as won't see. She's determined Krista is interested, so won't see anything else.

I think Krista has worn off on me. I used to really like her but now I'm so bored with it all. I just want Leo to go and bang Therese again. For no other reason than it's ending so they may as well go crazy.
