It's taken me ages to work out what "roofied" means - finally got it this week.

Nice that we have an extra family member for the Vaga-Murphys. I hope he becomes good now and sticks around with some positive storylines. I'm a bit bored of the "extra bad family member coving a secret past" theme that's done to death.

I think yes he has been irritating because he's come in as the classic "person with a troubled past acting up", but now they've sorted out the family issue I hope he'll turn good and calm down. I always think Neighbours is at its best when they have extended families. The Ramseys, Robinsons, Martins, Willis, Kennedys, Rebecchis, etc. Single characters and small groups are difficult to script much. Big families get chunky storylines.

I actually thought that was a big misstep. I know that Australia isn't the most diverse country in the planet (despite its own insistence that it is) but that wasn't a good look casting an American as the sole older black guy. Especially when the actor was only in one episode. It just didn't make any sense.

He could have also been from somewhere other than Australia. It just seemed weird and out of nowhere also given they had just been to the US. If he was from anyone other country it would have been less jarring. There aren’t that many Americans in Australia that we have this many in Ramsey St.

I didn't like the thing with Nicolette and Chelsea's cousin. Nicolette seems to have no morals and Kara didn't seem to care about her cousin's feelings. Nasty

I agree Cara's cousin seems unrealistically easy going about being used, but putting that aside I quite like her - she seems quite normal, and has a nice smile.

I thought that Neighbours was consistently one Amazon Prime's most viewed shows.

Hopefully they’ll cancel it with a big ending episode and loads of the old cast will come back and a lot of exploding balloons with glitter in and then a few months later, Netflix will say they’ve taken it up. Or did they already do that….?!

I won’t be surprised if this is true. The Kennedys have been MIA for weeks, Paul flits of to NY at the drop of the hat and we’re left with Holly in every scene.

I’ll also be a lot less sad this time around.

Channel 5 told Freemantle that they needed to make it cheaper to make to make it viable. Clearly Amazon did the same thing. I guess that's why they tend to just hang out in public spaces and have very little time filmed in the homes (except for Jane's house and the share house because so many people live in them!) but it took away all the charm of the soap being set in one street.

I'm definitely not as sad this time round. It hasn't been good for a while.
