So apparently Sky said when she came back in 2003 that Joe and Melanie split up a decade earlier. Nicolette actresses are 32 and 31 (not that that means nic is that age). So I think there could be a small window in the Vic and Melanie both being married into the same family between Mel and Joe leaving in 91 and getting divorced in 93.

Have they ever once mentioned that Melanie was Jane’s aunt? Ever?

I always bracket Paul, Karl & Susan, Melanie and Jane in the same general age range.

Didn't watch in the 80s / early 90s. The first time I saw Jane was when she came back 2019-ish and she and Paul had a relationship.

And I remember Joe Mangel being around in the 2000s and he and Lynn Scully were an item I think?!

So I don't link Jane and Joe at all, or with Mel. Doesn't work in my brain haha.

The stilts scenes was so weird!! I thought surely there's an actual skills the actor has that they could use, or one that could be learned 😂

So we had that weird scene with Sadie and the Mas to give a reason for Remi to talk to Wendy but I have no idea why Jane was taking photos of the bike!

Also mad that Nicolette has been gaslit into believe she is getting a deserved punishment for the list.

Yes, that annoyed me when Nic basically said Jane threw her out for her own good. I hate Jane! All that 'Don't hurt my children' bollocks she spouted to Victor. You are not parent of the year missus.

I feel like the writers want us to side with Aaron and Jane. Such a weird storyline, I think every single one of us was unanimous in our view that Nicolette was wronged. The Instagram comments had the same view as us too. I was wondering when vic came back if she might take Isla and go live with vic wherever it is he lives (Sydney?).

I thought Vic might stick up for Nicolette & make Nicolette realise just how badly Jane & Aaron were treating her, so she'd take Isla to live with her.

I think it’s even more telling when non of us particularly like this Nicolette either yet are still backing her. It’s such a weird misstep by the writers. It feels like such a juvenile take on it all.

I think we should list all the shit Holly has been through in the last year:

Wrestled ex boyfriend to get him arrested when he drugged and kidnapped her friend.
Nearly drowned in swimming pool after getting jealous of her boyfriend and best friend who then get together.
Nearly brought down Leo’s business for talking to a podcaster so tries to make up for it but gets kidnapped and trussed up like a turkey by a doctor with poisonous needles.
Gets in a fight with her crazy kidnapper boyfriend and nearly dies by corn and her friend gets shot… oh and she pushed her boyfriend in the creak where he was eaten by a crocodile in front of her.
Gets held hostage in a pub.

Did I miss anything? That’s an awful lot of kidnap in a year. And to think in all that time Dex has had a crush and got sick. Oh and did a test.

Those of you talking about Joe - you've forgotten his first wife, Noeline, who was the mother of Toby. She was briefly in the programme when she brought Toby to live with Joe, then later she tried to take him back, before being killed.

Charlene, Scott, Jane and Mike were all at school together and are the same age. Paul is a few years older (Scott's older brother). They all left way before the Kennedys arrived.

That house at the time was owned by Des, who married Daphne. When Daphne died and Des left, it was the Willis family for a while, before the Kennedys arrived.

Wait so two of Joe’s wives were killed? I remember Toby and Kerry and obvs Sky but not Toby’s mum.

@MiddleClassProblem Yes Noeline was killed in a car accident and Kerry was shot trying to stop hunters. The two deaths happened very close together from what I remember. Joe and Noeline were already separated and he was with Kerry, but the two of them died at a similar time.
And soon after Kerry died, Joe lost custody of Sky too as she wasn't his daughter, though he gets her back soon after.
Then Joe and Melanie get together and marry before moving to the UK to help care for Nell Mangel.
Then many years later after he and Melanie have split, Joe returns to Ramsay St and has a relationship with Lyn Scully.

In fact I just remembered Kerry was pregnant when she died. So in a short space of time, Joe loses custody of his son to his ex wife
Then his ex wife dies and he gets his son back
Then his current wife and unborn child die.
Then he loses custody of his step daughter but gets her back.
Then get a new wife.

None of Madge's family were in the show from the start. They were introduced after the first reboot, to replace the outgoing original Ramsays (Max was Madge's brother). IIRC, Madge appeared in the first episode of the reboot. Charlene arrived some time later (to replace Danny) and then Henry (to replace Shane).

Charlene was at school when she first appeared. Henry was older and arrived on the show fresh from prison, having been disowned by Madge.

Jane is 100% more in the age bracket of Susan and Karl than Mal, Libby and Billy. Mal was in the last few episodes of the end of the original with Izzy who was was famously too young for Karl. I will never ever understand the Sarah/Izzy storylines unless Australians really do have a thing for Doctors.

I think they had left by then. Jane was at school in 1986 so more mid 50s. Actress is my age
