Me and Dh are running out of things to watch from this time. A

We have watched so far:

Fat friends - loved, probably more than the first time we watched it, when it came out.

The Booze Cruise 1, 2 and 3 - love these so much and gutted they didn't make more. Watched and loved them when they first came out.

Cutting It - watching just now and on series 3. Absolutely batshit crazy. We watched this first time around but couldn't mind anything about it.

Any other programs we should watch along the same lines?

I watched North Square a few weeks ago, very good.

Also Silk with Maxine Peake, that was very good too.

North Square, only 1 series of it made I think. Loads of great actors, about barristers in Leeds. It was on channel 4.

I loved North Square and I've never been able to find it. Which channel is it on, do you know? Thanks ☺️

Gutted they only did one series.

Think it was 2!

Then also silk about lawyers in London.

My JustWatch app shows it's on all4.

We've recently reqarched My Family and found the comedy on that has aged really well. Though last time around I identified with the teenagers and this time I'm definitely in the parent's camp!

My absolute favourite scene is between Janey and her mum, where Janey is saying that her date being over forceful with her was her fault. Susan says, "if you walked into a tattoo parlour, arranged a tattoo, paid for it and then changed your mind, would that tattoo artist have the right to hold you down and tattoo you anyway?". Brilliant.
I met Kris Marshall recently and he is really a lovely man. 😊

Teachers was brilliant 😁

Mrsjayy · 10/08/2024 10:24

Oh I loved teachers.

BunfightBetty · 10/08/2024 10:26

Teachers was fab, so funny. Also Pulling was hilarious.
Waking the Dead and Spooks were great.
North and South was amazing if you like a costume drama.

Oh Hustle was great.

Loved Hustle. So cheesy at times, but each con and how it plays out is very well put together. Great cast too. I preferred the episodes when Emma and Sean join Mickey's crew.

MMAMPWGHAP · 10/08/2024 18:11

This Life
House

JaneIves · 10/08/2024 18:18

Gimme gimme gimme

BIossomtoes · 10/08/2024 18:24

Spooks was brilliant even if it did get a bit silly towards the end.

Tallisker · 10/08/2024 18:43

We've just had a Spooks-fest, I think we're in series 8. It hasn't really dated much apart from the mobile phones (before smartphones). Excellent series.

And thanks for the reminder about Ally McBeal, I used to love that prog. Is that available anywhere?

BIossomtoes · 10/08/2024 18:47

I’ve just started North Square. Many thanks to whoever recommended that.

Have you ever seen Ally McBeal streaming anywhere in the UK? Or even to pay to download separately? I've been periodically searching for years and can never find it!

I've just replied to another comment about Ally McBeal. I've never been able to find it but would love to rewatch!

Hi @Bluebellsinthewind

Try these. I recently rewatched the last two. OFITN is one of my all-time faves, as is This Life.

Our friends in the North
The Cops
Clocking off
State of play
House of Cards (the original UK version)

Top picks.
