Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

Sadly, lots of families IRL get into unnecessary and sometimes, nasty, squabbles about funerals after a death.

A boring episode, I did a lot of fastforwarding of Bethany and Billy and Joel. But Dorin is adorable, a shame he’s gone. And Ellie is a good actress, if the storyline had been centred round her it would have been a lot more tolerable.

Billy and the chair😳 He is just such a self indulgent twonk.

It comes to something when Tracey is the high point of the episode. She'll be back, that wasn’t an exit for a major character. I expect she will find out Tommy has been seeing someonelse and will be back in a few weeks. Cassie is horrible and her only aim is to relieve Ken of his winnings.

Cassie is surely not posh enough for Ken. Even Deirdre was less awful!

What are they doing with Amy? A while ago she was a sensible young girl who saw through people's nonsense, now they have made her into a total airhead. She gives the Institute all her money at the drop of a hat, and now she's joking about her 90 year old grandad getting together with Cassie. Yes it would be hilarious seeing him ripped off by a gold digger.

I'm also trying to work out the point of the Alina storyline, other than to bring us the gorgeous Dorin. So she's back gone back to Romania, and....?

We know Alina and Dorin exist. Maybe Adam will do family thing.

I think Alina and baby Ty was always on the cards to come back because they can't have Fiz happy.

I agree it was always on the cards for an Alina return with Dorin, but to do it like this for a few weeks, with Dorin getting more airtime than Alina 😆 Odd.

I reckon Ken will only have won a couple of thousand and Cassie will have wasted her charm offensive. Anyone else think that Bethany will do an expose of some sort on that Turkey clinic, accusing them of manipulating people into spending money on needless procedures or whatever.

I thought the Bethany story line came about as recently in the news there have been incidents and deaths as a result of people from the UK mainly female going for cosmetic procedures.

So I thought that Bethany would go and discover that it is not all wonderful and beautiful and that people die, and she would write a good journalistic article instead of a glowing spread for the clinic.

Notice I thought, not I think and that's because I have seen a spoiler, at least it looks like this story line is taking place this week/next week.

I hope she isn't considering getting work done..she was looking very jealous of tiny pretty Daisy getting attention and hugs.
Although I don't know what work she could get...she has no money apart from looking pretty perfect.

They said much Ken had won - Kenneth announced it during the phone call. It was £50k.

Is Ken ' testing ' Cassie, as he told her about his premium bond win and that he thought he should give x of it to Amy as he felt guilty that he had agreed with Amy investing her inheritance from Deirdre.

( I thought a couple of weeks ago that ken was aware that cassie had come in the front door and deliberately raised his voice on the phone to his financial advisor so cassie could hear the money being discussed - tho in hindsight why bother he doesn't need a carer so he could just let her go )

surely it would be his actual family he would talk that over with, not his unqualified / inexperienced ' carer ' ?

I don't think Ken is testing Cassie any more than Amy was testing Rowan. Corrie don't really do surprises nowadays (not pleasant ones anyway!)

I don't think the style and beauty board would have encouraged the frock for a professional meeting. It was fabulous though.
Cassie chats to Ken and brings him tea and biscuits. Nobody else does. But she does seem to be up to something
Tracy should read up on power of attorney...or Daniel...or Adam.

She could always come back with a new head. We've not had a character do that for a while now.

I thought Cassie was Ken’s companion now that he doesn’t need a carer. He explained it like he likes her, his family are too busy to spend time with him and he feels less lonely with her around but whatever she is, I think she’s going to do something to rip money out of him

I think Ken feels like he is "Ken" when he is with Cassie.....not just someone's dad, grandad, old man , sort of thing .
I hope Cassie doesn't rip him off .
I think she is just blagging a free holiday !
