Anyone else watching? It’s all kicking off at 6:30pm, apparently with the athletes parade first.

London 2012 OC was remarkable, I’m hoping the French can match that magic!

This is all making me nostalgic for my Paris trips. It’s a long way from Australia not like I can just pop back for a visit 😭

I always remember the LA ceremony with the all those pianos doing Rhapsody in Blue. 40 years ago and more spectacular than this.

The buildings do look pretty, though.

It's like they've made a list of all the special effects they could think of and then built the ceremony around them.

Evening... Not sure I like this. Bits I think are great but other bits just disjointed.

The miserable weather isn't helping, ironic that it's actually lovely and warm in the UK today,for a change!

This was better with the golden singer and the band and you could hear applause properly

All those people who have paid a fortune to line the Seine, I wonder how many of them can see the acts? Surely in a stadium everyone can see what's happening or are there screens along the route?
