Anyone else watching? It’s all kicking off at 6:30pm, apparently with the athletes parade first.

London 2012 OC was remarkable, I’m hoping the French can match that magic!

I've only watched a bit so far but it seemed incredibly flat, having it in the stadium gives it far better atmosphere. For some reason when I saw it was happening on the Seine I was expecting it to be dark though I suppose it will be dark by the end!

Maybe more vin is needed

The flotilla in theory was a great idea, the Seine is one of the most famous in the world, but it's so disjointed and a bit boring, they could do with a bit more speed, the boats are too spaced out xx
