I couldn’t see a new thread so thought I’d make one. Yup another boring one… Anyway looks like Konnor has bagged himself a Lollipop though I’m surprised the candyman didn’t get in there first (ugh). We haven’t had half as many games, the hideaway is perma open and no one’s going in there. No real discussions or code words around how the relationships are going on the chemistry front. What’s going on?

The problem with Love Island is it's a carbon copy each year with no change in format.
Imo it shouldn't be forced or staged .
Every conversation between couples is shit.
That's the problem.

The reason they don't have any fun is probably because there are constant producers in the background telling them what to do and where to sit, / chat about/ cliche lines to say.

I have been watching Love Island USA for the first time this year and it is far superior to the shit we have .
Firstly , the casting was better and the cast is better looking( superficial I know) than the UK cast
Secondly the editing is better
Thirdly, they actually have some funny challenges

Although Mimi did look a bit worried when he mentioned just as long as her actions are aligning with what she’s been saying…

I think he's decided he's done with it too, so whatever else comes out, he'll have moved on.

I don't know about Sean liking Mimii. I think they were just all so invested in the Ayo and Mimii show. And Ayo kept telling them how much he still liked Mimii, so they all ran away with themselves.

I actually like Josh, Mimii and Jomii so hope it's all settled now.

I think it's more that he wanted to be right about Mimii and Ayo. He would have been excruciatingly smug if they'd have got back together.

Reuben is the only hot one who’s been in this series, he’s lovely, would’ve loved him with Uma so much.
I agree, Matilda is common, she’s awful, Sean too
Grace is smart and has respect for herself
Jess was so different when she first came in, so much fun, looked different too, not sure the villa has been good for her.
Jesse is really nice, classy, smart and will end up with some wealthy, nice guy within her own circle in the future I reckon.
Ciaran is lovely and the one I would’ve gone for when younger, I think Nicole’s a lovely friend and probably a nice person, but she’s very emotional and needs some help with it.
I liked Joey back in the day, seeing him on this has made me sad, to show it had all been an act
Mimi, I can’t work out, she seems a genuinely good person, but the other night, she didn’t seem with it at all, just all a bit strange.
New girl Lola, pretty and nice but doesn’t really let others speak and doesn’t have much about her 😬
New guy, Harry, just seems like the local chav who is up himself, seems like a boy in comparison to Grace

I swear every year I see posters saying the same thing about how that year's season is the worst season ever. Next year you will be looking fondly back at this season and complaining about how awful Love Island 2025 is.

Best seasons for me were seasons 2 and 3. It started going gradually downhill from season 4 onwards. However, I really don't think this is the worst season we have had. I found season 7 with Liberty, Faye, Teddy etc too painful to watch and if we are counting Love Island All Stars in this then for me that was the worst Love Island ever. Love Island 2023 as well was forgettable.

2018 was the Dani Dyer season. Molly Mae was Season 5 2019, which actually was a decent season.

As a side note, I was heavily pregnant at the summer of 2018 too! 😂

@CarnDûm Ah wow! 😂I remember I went out in summers before so never watched it. That summer I was huge and knackered and got really into it 🤣 I spent many nights balancing a big plate of nachos on my bump and munching away.
The Molly mae year must have been my summer of breastfeeding on the sofa year then

it’s so much better than the regular show! Love the stupid chats and messing about in the pool. The regular show is too engineered

Just watching it after your recommendation! First time I've watched this season & agree, it's good and great to see some personality from them. Where was Mimii though? She wasn't in any unseen bits other than the stuff that was shown in the main programme?!!

Josh is going to dump Mimi the minute he gets his phone back
He has made it clear that he does not want to look like a fool on national tv..
In his mind, her shenanigans in the villa would have made him look like a fool.

I agree. Josh might carry on to the end to save face but once he gets out she’s getting dropped. I can’t see them being the next Tasha and Andrew or Dami and Indiyah or whatever. They’ll split up within a few weeks if not days.

I’m also hearing murmurs online that Grace is his type. And I think an islander may have alluded that?

If that’s the truth, it makes me wonder if he was going to stick around that long with her anyway.

It seems like Ciaran is standing up to Joey- I love that about him. He has his morals and opinions and will be very direct and forthright in stating them no matter who he is talking to, unlike Sean who is more of a Joey follower and only has smoke for certain people, and generally a bit slimy.

Josh seems to be having a go at Joey too for some reason, but not Mimi. I think regardless of what he thinks he’s going to back her while he’s in there which is a smart strategy at this point tbf

and yeah from the preview just as I thought - Sean is still obsessed with Mimi/Josh and Ayo/Jessica 😑He needs to give it a rest!
