I couldn’t see a new thread so thought I’d make one. Yup another boring one… Anyway looks like Konnor has bagged himself a Lollipop though I’m surprised the candyman didn’t get in there first (ugh). We haven’t had half as many games, the hideaway is perma open and no one’s going in there. No real discussions or code words around how the relationships are going on the chemistry front. What’s going on?

At this point they are going to stick by their current pairing regardless.

There's no more re coupling or bombshells. So Josh will not turn against Mimi because he's thinking of possibly winning or at least getting some post villa brand deals/photoshoots.

They'll just all bitch at other couples in the hope of finishing above them in the finals.

It has been quite a joyless series. Very aggy and not much light heartedness. The bombshells didnt add anything and most have gone by the by. A right bunch of miserable gits!

Yes I'd say most series take a while to warm up and early stages suffer from comparison from the end of the last, but get there in the end in terms of real friendships forming and the relationships looking likely. this and All Stars just haven't worked for me.

Joey has been a big miss: too old, too contrived, too central

Not a very friendly group, Harriet and Ronnie should have stayed (can't remember if it was a public vote but they were very leavening and balancing).

People were allowed to stay in too long when. Nothing was working for them then some bloke shoehorned in at the end. Jess and Mimii were mardy dead wood as characters for weeks and should have been replaced. Konnor was very likeable but making no effort

I think just bad casting decisions really made it hard to get into as much as previous years.

All stars didn't work using the same format, everyone was too jaded. It would have been better as a catch up with their lives and more mature, spontaneous conversations

It has been a bit.

I think back to the series where they did the synchronised swimming - was it Kemi and Alex? So funny.

Shame there are not more lols.

I also loved that series for the friendships.

Find those just as compelling if not more than the relationships. Bet many of them last longer too.

Josh might carry on to the end to save face but once he gets out she’s getting dropped.

Surely to save face though he has to dump her sorry arse? I'm not sure his ego could take knowing he's been totally spun a line and he's second best.

Final week!
I think the problem this year is they didn't refresh/recast enough. Also they didn't have a good mix of characters. There's been no fun or friendships/bromances etc. Everyone takes themselves far too seriously
