I couldn’t see a new thread so thought I’d make one. Yup another boring one… Anyway looks like Konnor has bagged himself a Lollipop though I’m surprised the candyman didn’t get in there first (ugh). We haven’t had half as many games, the hideaway is perma open and no one’s going in there. No real discussions or code words around how the relationships are going on the chemistry front. What’s going on?

Joey is vile. I hope for Jesse’s sake he sacks her off when they get out. He is gaslighting, aggressive, horribly over defensive. And SO full of himself.

I like Mimii and Josh. Even though she was a bit underhand with the terrace crawling.

No interest in Nicole, Ciaran, Sean, Matilda. Thick and boring.

I like Ayo and Jess and would be happy if they won.

Also like Grace and Reuben. Want to see them stay together. Mostly to irritate Joey as he seems obsessed with her.

Lola seems utterly vacant. And agree with the other poster who summed Harry up “pointless”. Honestly if that man is a bombshell god help us all.

Oh and I wish Uma had stayed! She was my fave

I agree with all of this particularly the bit about Joey being obsessed. It’s bizarre - classic projection! He hates seeing her recouple.

I really don’t warm to Jess - I want to like her but I do find her quite common. That said, she’s a better fit off Ayo but I can’t get behind them. He might have redeemed himself slightly but he was awful to Mimi and did give her really mixed messages when she first came back after CA.

I like Mimi and Josh I just wonder if he’s too much for Mimi. I hope not because she deserves someone lovely.

Sorry I know it’s an awful term but someone else used it up thread about Matilda and it’s one of those words that sometimes only that will do. I knew I’d get flamed for it.

I don’t know how else to explain it. I just find she isn’t very classy, she can be a bit gobby. I just think her and Matilda are both similar in this respect though Matilda is worse. They both dress really badly compared to others though it’s a fairly low bar. She is so desperate and needy too. I just can’t warm to her.

Harry is s like one of those dolls with a sting in his back. Nobody could ever come out with more stock cliche phrases than he has one after the other, each accompanied with 'obviously' at the start.

Jesse is too good for Joey.

She's extremely understanding, measured yet strong in opinion.
Trying to reason and explain things to Joey would get so tiresome for a woman like her I'd hate to see her feelings for him dull her common sense.

She really really does not need a bloody project.

I like her alot but hope she gives up on him.

Wow what a massive liar Mimii is. I thought she was supposed to be intelligent, but if so surely she knows this is coming out? Does she think now Movie Night is done she's safe? Even if she thinks this then she knows Josh will find out after the show, so is she just desperately trying to stay in the villa in the mean time? She looked a bit worried when Josh was saying stuff like as long as she'd told him everything etc. Think she has reason to be as Josh isn't one to take being disrespected lightly. Ayo dodged a huge bullet there.

Jessy has really fallen under Joey's spell. So sad, as she clearly has good morals and has desperately tried to talk him down after all his outbursts but now he just tells her she agrees with him and makes her doubt herself. Gaslighting at it's finest.

Jess and Ayo will never work long term if their communication is her jumping the gun and him holding back on her. Frustrating for both.

Mimii was more settled this episode but still not frank with Josh who is far too good for her. It is such a cowardly approach to a tricky situation to lie and twist rather than have a tough conversation. Wonder why they were picked for a date, either public noise was getting too unfavourable and producers were worried about her afterwards, or it's to try and tank them when the clip is shown. I expect Josh has the prize money in sight and will overlook it now after the date.

Harry was not particularly gentlemanly to Lola even if he doesn't fancy her. Grace didn't owe him anything.

Grace and Reuben looked happy, I don't think they'll win but will give it a good go.

Not sure whether Jessy is getting sick of this and hanging in for the final/opportunities or quite relishing the strange mummy role of having to teach a considerably older man his basic manners. I cant tell from her exasperated looks

I like Matilda's brashness! I don't think she's said or done anything really unkind, underhand or uncouth and quite often smooths things over or is honest when people are left puzzled. I get the impression shes from a noisy
family with a lot of shouting and throwing toys at each other and she admitted she likes a gossip. She's in there hoping to make a million same as all of them but I think she's a fairly straight up girl

Mimii has got herself into a situation where she can't backtrack without some sort of fallout I suspect. Whether she and Josh are now in a good enough place for him not to react negatively to the full terrace story will be interesting to see. (As an aside, I thought Sean didn't look particularly pleased when Josh announced after the date that he and Mimii were in a good place and now closed off 😄)

On the date Mimii showed a lot more personality and her face came alive. The rest of the time I've found her to be a bit of a 'fun sponge' - deadpan reaction to nearly everything someone says to her.

I don't think Jessica is common at all! She seems secure enough now to call people like Sean out and is standing up for herself. Some of the other islanders have picked on her in pass/ag ways and if that was done to a different islander there would be people calling it out. I don't see how she is any needier than someone like Jessy - who may vocalise her worries with different words but is still very anxious about Joey's commitment to her.

Re clothes - I've thought that about all the islanders (male and female) - some nights they look lovely, other nights not so much!

I agree I don't think Jess is common. She's reacted with a bit of spice under pressure from the likes of Sean and Joey and is clearly a plain speaking character ('Sean wears Joey's arsehole as a hat!') but I don't think she's been out of turn. She's well spoken too, every second word isn't 'like'

I agree about Harry being full of love island cliches 😂 there is no way Grace was ever going to be interested in him. He hasn’t shown the depth and individuality that Reuben has.

I wonder if he’s gutted to be with Lola because she’s a new bombshell too and he’s know theres no way they’ll get many votes or it’s because he genuinely seen a future with Grace? His reaction was a bit off.

It’s funny that Jess had to tell big man Joey to learn from how 21 year old Ciaran communicates 😂She’s right , sometimes Joey has a point but his delivery and timing is so off that whatever truth in what he was saying gets lost. Although I suspect he’ll be vindicated re. Secret mission-gate once they roll the tapes.

Sean does still seem quietly obsessed with Mimi etc but I suspect he’s been advised to pipe down and make peace. He’s very much a game player - which they all are to an extent as it’s a game but I think he’s particularly underhand.

Joey is still so unsettled by Grace and seems to need to believe these other men can’t compare. Do you think they slept together that time in the hideaway?

I think Joey probably has some issues possibly stemming from growing up without a mum which is affecting how he relates to people. He reminds me of a guy I used to know, he was a massive player and would be happy to drop a girl, but if you weren’t bothered and moved on he’d be visibly upset. That guy also had abandonment issues from his mum.

And I don’t know if it’s sunburn, badly blended makeup, new cosmetic treatments but Nicole is looking so much older as the days go on which is quite strange.

If I didn’t know who they were and seen them together in Tesco I’d probably assume it was his older sister 😬

The lip fillers they’ve all had are horrendous but. Nicole’s especially. I agree that she looks so much older.

I wonder if Matilda and Jesse have had some filler too? Their lips seem different.

It is definitely contour on Nicole's nose as I've been studying her when bare faced before putting it on. I have no idea why she does it as I assume it's to make your nose look narrower, but hers isn't wide!

I realised when Grace was chatting with Jake, I mean Harry 😂 that I hadn't heard her laugh much. She did with him and I guess it's as there's no pressure as she's not interested in him. It was nice to see her a bit more carefree.

I think they purposely sent Mimii on that date to get them closer, to give the grand reveal a bit more bite. I'm not sure Josh will overlook this as he's going to feel massively embarrassed, plus I think he's quite hot headed.

I thought Jessy had had hers done too.

Dont think Jess is common in the least, she is authentic and says it how it is.
Hoping they get to the final, Jess and Ayo, (after Mimi doesnt) last mental health nurse I would ever need is Mimi.

Joey definitely has arrested development due to childhood trauma. It is common. 🙁He is childlike in his awareness. I can wait for vindication for him. He really has not rushed to defend himself (as ALL the others would have)

I can’t stand Jess and Ayo - but I don’t like any of them much. Worst year ever contestant wise but this is what comes of recruiting influencer types rather than real people.

In my opinion the problem with this series is that none of them are any fun... they are all too fucking uptight and all take themselves far too seriously.

And due to that it's become even more too obvious how scripted it all is...apart from Jessica, none of them seem capable to having a genuine reaction or conversation.

I think Uma and Reuben would’ve made a great fun couple if he had only came in earlier!

I did laugh when Josh said to Mimi that he couldn't see anyone coming in and turning his head. Josh mate, I can't see anyone else coming in full stop

I can't say for sure as we haven't got to know him that well but I somehow get the impression Reuben would gel better with a calm, cool Grace than a similarly quirky, energetic Uma. I get secret introvert vibes from him. As in, he is genuinely outgoing but someone bouncy would wear him out.

Yeah the chemistry doesn’t seem quite the same between Mimii and Josh. She clicked with Ayo more I reckon. That whole teddy bear bit was cringe.
