Gosh there was a lot of struggling there. Really love Kiell. He’s perfect and so much better than Joe Lycett who was very much needing to be centre stage. Don’t think the standard is as high as in the past though but really like the contestants. Very relieved horror film dummy has gone home.

Controversial but I don’t think Puppet Man deserved to go out. The cream denim dress was a worse disaster.

I think the producers have reduced he time on the main rounds - it was tight before but never EVERYONE unfinished in a round.

He was penalised for trying psychological warfare on his rivals.

I think his dress was unfinished but the cream denim job was unfinished and looked a bastard.

Like Patrick said though, he started that round from a lower position.

Having given it a good decade of consideration I really do think I prefer Sewing Bee to Strictly and Bake-Off. It was a long tough three years while it was on hiatus.

Puppet Man Neil lost on the first two rounds rather than just the M2M. Ailsa was lucky.

I liked the idea of the tablecloth dress but it had no fitting required whatsoever and she still didn't quite finish it. I liked that she and Suzy used recycled fabrics. I use a lot of things like that when I make stuff. It's cheap and very satisfying!

Pascha is the front runner so far for me. There are a few close contenders and several "mid pack" runners I think could do well. It will be interesting to see how it pans out this year - often there is a stand out sewer from the start and I don think there is this year.
