The Split is returning!

I’m not sure if anyone has already posted this but The Split is returning for a two parter later this year which I’m SO happy about. I love it, the clothes, the houses, characters, storylines, everything in fact. Just wish it wasn’t only two episodes. Then, apparently, there’s going to be a spin off called The Split Up about a legal firm in Manchester. I don’t know anything apart from that so not sure how it will be in comparison. Hopefully just as good although you cannot beat Nicola Walker’s acting.

Hooray! Was one of my favourite shows! We need a full series though.

Story from Cosmo here - shame to get just a special to set up the new series but I'll take it! Maybe some of the OG characters will make appearances in The Split Up?

I'm so excited by this. The Split is one of my favourite series. In fact, I have just started a rematch of series one. I plan to catch up with all three series prior to this special being released. Amazing cast!

Am I the only person that thinks Nicole Walker is the same in everything she does- The Split, Annika, Unforgotten.
She has a very particular style.

I know she is loved on Mumsnet though.

She seems to play characters who are very intense - Annika is funnier than the others. I would like to see her play against type in something, though.

She's got a very distinctive style of speaking which she brings to either character.

My husband also moans about me watching anything with Nicola Walker in as he says she plays the same character in everything she's in. He's totally wrong when you look at the diverse roles she plays - Hannah Defoe in The Split couldn't be more different to the character she plays in Last Tango or Unforgotten.

For me and possibly your dh she makes them the same iykwim @mum2jakie
