I'm feeling shitty, and ran out of so ething to binge!
For context I love dark and weird series like them, from and dark.
But I've also binged greys, station 19, criminal minds.
Would prefer something weird but open to anything bar love stories!
Please help

I thought Beef was really good

3 Body Problem was enjoyable too. I wasn't sure about it for the first couple of episodes, found it a bit boring, but then I got hooked.

Midnight Mass (Netflix)
Hard Sun (iPlayer)
Luther (iPlayer)
Whitechapel (Netflix)

Itsneverme · 07/05/2024 21:35

Thanks for all the recommendations, so far there are only two on here I haven't watched!

Homeland
Slow horses
Yellow jackets

Severance. It's very weird and totally brilliant - the best series I've seen in years.

Carnivale. Set in the world of travelling shows in 30s dustbowl America. Magical and mystical elements. Great characters.

Twin Peaks, if you've never seen it.

I've just re-watched the original Survivors from the 70s. It's still great. I think it's on ITVX.

Which ones then?

Whiskeyandkittens · 07/05/2024 22:04

You've probably seen it! But if not, then definitely Black Mirror on Netflix!

I think you said one of them was Giri/Hagi. I'd second the recommendation for that. Witty, smart, and different. On Netflix, I watched and enjoyed German series Anthracite recently.

Sounds like you have Netflix and prime. So you have Disney? I've just binged Candy. Now watching the Boston strangler

Hemakesmesmile2 · 07/05/2024 23:08

I’m watching Dark atm with my mum 😂 I’m keeping full notes to keep a track of who everyone is. It’s confusing but bloody brilliant and so gripping. Just started season 2.

Fifiellz · 07/05/2024 23:17

Red Eye on ITVX

MistyGreenAndBlue · 07/05/2024 23:20

Try Person of Interest. You can get it on Prime for free with ads. I really got into it and Jim Caviezel is worth looking at 😁

gegs73 · 07/05/2024 23:21

The OA on Netflix is amazing if you like weird. Possibly one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen but brilliant.

fredafortycoats · 07/05/2024 23:21

There are family trees available online (or were) which can be quite a help with Dark. Different ones for each season, to avoid spoilers as far as possible.

If you have disney+, My name is Earl is great for a binge. I'm currently watching it for a second time and forgot how funny it was.

MumOfHals · 08/05/2024 02:20

Bad Sisters - (Apple) it's a dark comedy, we got told about it so got Apple with the trial, was hooked ( and I'd say one of the best things I've watched )

Girl as I said earlier and the cabinet of curiosity

I've just finished Red King (ITV) only 6 episodes, if you're looking for something a little weird.

Mr and Mrs smith

Usually when I want to binge I go for something older, usually seen before. Bones/ wire in the blood.

Willmafrockfit · 08/05/2024 06:25

Ripley is very visually appealing and very tense

Crazylady333 · 08/05/2024 06:27

Ozark

AlwaysGinPlease · 08/05/2024 06:38

The Big Door Prize

SallyWD · 08/05/2024 06:48

I'm currently watching Behind her Eyes on Netflix. It's good and definitely dark.

halfthesun · 08/05/2024 06:48

Thick of it on iPlayer - watching with 18 year old son ... they have just lost database of 4000 refugees ... sounds familiar?

Itsneverme · 08/05/2024 09:03

Just started cabinet of curiosity..... already seen it aha I really must've a life.
