Tbf, the storyline line with Carrie has always been that she was shit with tech. Remember when she lost all her work on the original MacBook because she didn’t back it up or know she should? Then ln in the first movie Samantha hands her an iPhone and she says ‘I can’t work this’ and was a flip phone gal.

Are you all watching the same thing as me - I’ve always been a huge fan, although totally hated the Che character - to me it feels stilted, awkward , poorly written , charlottes acting is truly terrible plus she looks frozen and odd - I feel sorry for SjP and Cynthia Nixon who are better than this. Plus the wokeness is still off the scale, I’m totally all for representation but the idea a swanky restaurant in New York is wall to wall well off black people simply is fantasy land and makes it feel inauthentic . and I’ve been to NY lots of times. I also don’t like any of the new characters. It’s all very disjointed, the wanking stuff was really yukky and there’s an awful lot of chronic overacting - SJP and Cynthia Nixon excepted

I completely agree. I think it's absolute dross, but I still enjoy it though - I adore SJP and would watch her in anything, and a mix of the clothes, shoes and nostalgia gets me through the rest. And there is the odd very funny / ridiculous line

i disagree. They were at Red Rooster https://www.redroosterharlem.com I mean I don’t know if it was filmed in Red Rooster but she certainly said it was there. In Harlem if it was the original one. It’s full of professional black people, the food is soul food. They have live music and promote local artists. I’ve been for brunch and it was 20 percent tourists the rest people that live in the area which isn’t what it used to be.

The restaurant was hosting an event for Herbert's political thing wasn't it? Not just a random night. I assumed that's why they had invited the great and the good of the black social/political elite. And Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte 🙄😆

But The Red Rooster is authentic. It’s a soul food place in Harlem. And it is not swanky. And it was a fundraiser so obviously it had wall-to-wall wealthy people of all ethnicities in attendance? I didn’t think it was inauthentic at all. Try getting a table at either there or Sylvia’s (amazing) for a post church Sunday lunch - it’s easier to book oasis tickets 😂

The restaurant thing was for Herbert's community. Though in S 1 I cringed at Charlotte's visit to LTWs house for that all black shindig, and her desperate attempt at being cool.

Agree. At least in SATC, her facial expressions (wide eyes, furrowed brow, pout, etc) could cover up her bad vocal acting skills. Now there's no distraction from how stilted her delivery is.

She left Nya’s because the only bathroom was through Nya’s room and Nya was going through her tinder phase 😂

IRL I think the actor playing Nya has a scheduling issue with The Morning show on Apple TV hence why she wasn’t in it much in the last season.

@Netaporter we work in media and a lot of it rings very true too - accurately portrayed I think - I’m in love with the weatherman - it feels a bit odd though as my H looks quite like Mitch ! Yep - will get onto that series as I’m a big fan of Jeff’s too

I literally bumped into Jeff Daniels in the street in NYC. He was off to his matinee performance of To Kill a mockingbird on Broadway and was already dressed as Atticus Finch 😂 I saw him the next night in it and he was outstanding.

Agree re the Aiden scene - I never liked him & this makes me feel the same. I loved the sexy producer from the podcast - would like him to come back as her love interest.
