Miranda seems much better this series than previous ones. So glad they got rid of the Che character.
I actually snorted loudly when Rosie O’Donnell said she was a virgin and a nun. Very SATC like storyline.
The aiden thing in the car we could have done without though !

Gutted that Aidan is still in it. There must have been some contractual issue at the end of S2 that they put in the 5 year thing while they haggled out his deal. Please let him go the way of Mr Big

I have somehow series linked it with narrated voice over "Carrie walks into her study and turns on the light' Gah!!! How to turn that off? Enjoyed it nonetheless. Why is she LTW and not just Lisa?

Just came on to say Carrie’s hat is absolutely bonkers . It’s a bit silly the whole Aiden thing . Having seen the ad Aiden appeared , so he must relax his rules for no contact . Surely they can’t do a time jump as it wouldn’t work with the younger characters .

They missed the opportunity to have Berger bump into Strawberry Shortcake Carrie and repeat his ‘nice hat’ line with this episode!
Is the angry dog owner who cancelled Richard Burton also the woman who threw paint on Samanatha’s fur coat at the fashion show? When she was shouting about her dog and her purse all I could hear was ‘murderer!’. I’ve clearly watched far too much SATC.

Also did not recognise Rosie O’Donnell and I loved that they opened with Carrie at a window. I forgot for a second that she had a new home. Hope she keeps in touch with Lisette so we can see what she’s done with the old place.

Agree the floaty dress with floaty jacket was gorgeous and the big hat was ridiculous.
Rosie was fab as the nun.
Ballet and dog plot points meh.
Phone sex scenes gave me the ick - had to fast forward.
Have forgotten who the woke teen is - did they end up with two kids?

Ah, googled. So it was Rose, Charlotte's child from the movie I'd forgotten, who is now Rock.
Had completely forgotten that storyline.

I thought it was a mix of good and bad.

I loved the Miranda storyline. Miranda is funny and snappy again.

Carrie and Aiden has given me the ick for years so this was excruciating. Well done, that cat. I just don’t want him in the show really and I’d like the storyline sped up so he can piss off.

I did find Charlotte’s dog storyline AND Seema’s city tour funny. I wish Harry had more to do. And I liked LTW too.

I do not want to see Charlotte’s children independent of their parents as characters (ideally not at all). They bore me.

I don’t think Anthony is going to give up a lifetime of being an oceangoing bitch after one chat with his new boyfriend. So that was a bit weird. And he was very needy about Carrie’s friendship but Charlotte is the one he’s been friendly with for decades so why is this now a thing? It was Stanford who felt left out.

I actually preferred Aidan to Big in SATC, but he is now dead to me.

On the plus side, Miranda seems back to her cool self. Rosie has potential, though I would like her to stop fawning over Miranda.

I wish they would send Charlotte's horrible kids off to boarding school. I could do without LTW and have more of Seema. Sarita Roy Chowdhury is fabulous in the role.

I love this thread and agree with everyone that Carrie's floaty outfit was AMAZING, the Holly Hobbie (lol) hat was ridiculous and Aidan's van wank was finger licking bad. Really enjoyed this episode and I'm so glad it's a longer season this time!

Apart from Carrie's floaty dress, I liked Miranda's green dress. I always preferred her style to Carrie's. When Carrie appeared in that hat, I had to rewind to check if they were attending a costume party.

Why wasn’t Seema embarrassed to be seen with Carrie with that duvet on her head? I have always defended Carrie’s style choices but that was a nope from me.

I love Rosie O’Donnell but she had a creepy stalker edge to her in this.
