Anyone wanna join in with the pre-screening goss and hype?

Me first… SJP has posted her run through nameplate on insta. But so has this actor - a rumoured love interest for Miranda? What do we think?

Oh Carrie really needs to go mid-century modern NY-style, with lots of cool, huge paintings! If she brings in that awful flowery wallpaper from her old apartment, I will be unhappy.

Doubleraspberry · 06/06/2025 12:06

I enjoyed this one more than the last one for sure.

Dolly Wells is so perfect for Miranda (and exactly the sort of person she should have left her marriage for in series one) that I’m now quite annoyed they have given her some bullshit reason not to just get together with her.

Carrie and Aiden I agree need to just end. I don’t understand why this storyline is even happening. And of course he would make the furniture. And her novel sounds appalling.

Seema’s dates were brilliant. And I suppose it’s the reality that very few men actually want a woman that challenges them, particularly as they get older, and presumably richer.

College applications storyline didn’t feel well paced although I liked the idea behind it.

CowTown · 06/06/2025 12:18

I’m not sure that the cat is SJP’s…Michael Patrick King said that they had to find another cat of the same breed, as the first had grown too much between some of the earlier episodes.

So one of the multiple cats may indeed be hers, but which one…I’m not sure.

PurplebeadedFendi · 06/06/2025 12:18

Aidan coming and going doesn't make sense. One minute he can't leave Wyatt with his ex because he doesn't get on with her and will kick off, so Aiden needs to be "on call". The next, Wyatt is with his mum and Aidan can get on a plane to see Carrie. And once again, where is the respect for Carrie? He's said he can't see or talk to her for 5 years, she's complying and he's breaking his own rules and just phoning up or turning up unannounced. I would say that Carrie should know better, but she'd always thrived off the drama of the unobtainable/unpredictable man. But Aidan is just a bore and really not worth this sort of effort.

I think it's symbolic that the gardener-guy was getting acquainted with Carrie's pussy (cat). It's a sign of things to come 😂

Doubleraspberry · 06/06/2025 12:31

Oh, I loved Miranda’s meta hate watching. Also Miranda would definitely be a bad reality TV addict.

PurplebeadedFendi · 06/06/2025 14:13

Yes I agree. I thought it was a nice throwback to the Miranda who was addicted to Jules and Mimi and reading celeb gossip in TattleTale. Not entirely sure what the point of the guacamole waitress story was, other than to provide her with more funny stories with which to court the lovely Joy.

MichaelandKirk · 06/06/2025 15:24

I really cannot get Sema. She isn’t a patch on Samantha.

MichaelandKirk · 06/06/2025 15:25

Love the house that Carrie has moved into

FortyElephants · 06/06/2025 15:52

Seema isn't an amazing actress but I did enjoy the dates and the conclusion she draws at the end about remaining true to herself.
Carrie needs to fuck the hot gardener obviously. Aidan is such a weird storyline. It feels like they maybe brought him back last season for fan service now they realised that fans don't like it that much and they need to lose him again. All that bollocks about how big was a mistake and Aidan was the one. Fuck off!!
Miranda remains super annoying. Dolly Wells acted the socks off her in the 3 minutes she was on screen.
Charlotte and Lisa are cliches but it was pretty funny, and I'm glad to see the horrible offspring being told how privileged they are.

CharlotteRumpling · 06/06/2025 16:57

I loved Seema's hate dating and Miranda's hate watching! Love Dolly Wells. Attractive and intelligent and funny. The anti-Che.
I would rather have Carrie's cat than her clothes. That denim skirt was hideous.
New gardener love interest too beardy and young for Carrie.
But still better than annoying Aiden walking in and out of her house like he owns it.

greengreyblue · 06/06/2025 18:04

Ok just watched ep 2
spoiler
Loved it more than ep1. Thought Miranda was fab, Reminded me of Jules and Mimii too. I love a bit of trash tv to unwind to. MAFS anyone? I loved Seema dating storyline. Even enjoyed Carrie and Aiden being more realistic. I find LTW and Charlotte funny

tothelefttotheleft · 06/06/2025 18:26

@CharlotteRumpling

I'm sure she called it "our yard".

Samantha would have dished up a pussy line over breakfast with the girls.

greengreyblue · 06/06/2025 18:48

Dolly Wells keeps being mentioned. Have I missed this character?

Yes, rather pathetically, Carrie has bought a house to share with a man who wants a break for 5 years and his offspring who hate her.

The English woman who turned up last season right at the end

A man who won't let her write on postcards! 😂

You see why I like Seema.

cardboardvillage · 06/06/2025 19:14

Why does Carries huge house have a teeny tiny kitchen?

CharlotteRumpling · 06/06/2025 19:29

Because Carrie never cooks?
None of them seem to.

Oh I thought she was Zoe or something.

PurplebeadedFendi · 06/06/2025 19:45

greengreyblue · 06/06/2025 19:32

Oh I thought she was Zoe or something.

She's called Joy. She works for the BBC. Miranda met her at the UN conference in the last series.

cardboardvillage · 06/06/2025 19:49

How has Carrie not already hired an interior stylist to fully kit out her house?

she had furniture in her previous place. She had that cringey dinner party

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/06/2025 22:05

Wasn’t wyatt with his mum Kathy last time he hurt his self so was suprised aiden just got on the plane

seema is very fussy. I get woman need to be a bit but she’s very fussy

poor shoe being an indoor cat

for such a huge house the garden /back yard is tiny
