Me too! Did she even ask if it was safe for cats? Mind you it’s a house cat supposedly. I thought Carrie looked fab in the blue dress and the denim skirt outfit though not my taste. Hated Seema’s pastel look though I do think her wardrobe is a little harsh at times. Sydney/Cydney was played by a Curb your Enthusiasm character who was possessed by Disney songs.🤣 Found that hard to get out of my head. Ah so Dolly Wells is the actress- who plays Joy( not Zoe) can we stick to character names? Yes she was good.

Sydney/Cydney (Cheri Oteri) was on Saturday Night Live for years as well—she was brilliant on it.

Didnt like Seena’s pastel look, she looked very washed out. Loved how the Love matcher was left to pick up the cheque after both Seema and her date left though.

Loved the comment earlier that Lisa’s clothes exist to make Charlotte’s look normal. Any NY natives here, can confirm how many people actually dress like that there?

@GellerYeller I follow a lovely Hackey born fashion influencer called Karen BritChic, who has lived in NY for probably 15 years now. She does these cool videos where she goes around the streets stopping and talking to the flamboyantly dressed about where their fashion comes from (lots of hi-lo dressing, thrifted finds, young designers making their own clothes and Iris Apfel wannabes). I reckon there's certainly a pocket of such people as there are in London, and bless them, they look fabulous and brighten up my day when I see them. I've been to NY 5 times and never seen anyone dress in anything like the PVC shorts and 1980s throwback/Joan Collins in Dynasty blouse Lisa wore at the baseball game. Last time I went, we stayed in trendy Brooklyn, and everyone looked depressingly normal! I dress in a lot of bright, vintage fashion, so I was probably the fashion weirdo on that occasion!

I won’t say too much as I don’t know if trailers count as spoilers but the one released before this episode gives a few pointers re what others have speculated about above re Carrie/Aidan, Seema, potential other love interests for characters, including the gardener. But I won’t say anything explicitly about these as think some avoid these.

I don’t avoid them but couldn’t have anyway as I watched yesterday’s episode on sky on demand via my virgin tv box and they constantly put this trailer on before it started and the ad breaks. Why?!

Does anyone remember when Carrie was at Aiden’s cabin in the woods and a squirrel was at the window. She did a classic Carrie scream and dropped the pie she was baking in shock.

This week she saw a squirrel in the garden and just smiled and said “Hi”. Then of course did the Carrie scream x 100 when the rats appeared.

Plus I’ve never seen a mature garden cleared that quickly.

I did have to suspend my disbelief that Lisa and Charlotte would not already be all over college applications like a rash. Mrs Fingersmith would have been old news to that pair.

Yes @dayswithaY ! I thought it was a very humorous nod to that episode with Aidan's squirrel. One second it's, oh, Carrie's made peace with squirrels and has grown up; the next, arrrggghhh!

I can't work out where those rats were coming from, tbh. The garden looked pretty big before they cleared it, not a tiny walled courtyard.

All my cool manhattan and brooklyn relatives and their friends dress like they are in vintage gap ads, so disappointing!

I was such a fan of SATC back in the day. I’ve tried to get into AJLT but it’s just…. dull. Can’t get on board with the new characters, can’t get on board with what they’ve done to Miranda, and Samantha’s absence is a hole just too big to fill. I always liked Aidan in the original and thought he and Carrie were well suited. But now? No. No idea what Carrie thinks she’s doing waiting 5 years for him, especially having lost her husband: she should know life is too short. The whole show is just so contrived. I’m bowing out.

I couldn’t stand the way she kept saying out. Our yard and our furniture. Like he’s out a penny into that house it made me abit sick. I can’t wait for them to split up.

Shoe would be quite happy in that back way running up and down those stairs there was no way Shea could escape down the back. SJP lives in a similar style house now I’m wondering if she lets her cats out into the back garden 😀

Maybe Carrie's going to buy a luxury catio and fall for the hunky guy who installs it, then dump Aidan and leave him to wankcry in 'our' truck.

He doesn't even have a key! She asked him how he got in, and he said the workman let him in. No key. No ownership. Turning up for sex - not a date, dinner, gallery, shopping for the house, showing any care about how she is coping with this arrangement etc. All he wants is stress relief sex - relief from the stress of his kid. He's treating Carrie like a stress ball. She needs to bin him pronto.
