Love/Hate ... worth a watch?

Watching the first episode after seeing many recommendations on here. I absolutely loved KIN and thought this would be similar.
However I'm struggling to deal with the dated, amateurish camera work. It's like watching Grange Hill or Prisoner Cell Block H, for those who remember
Should I persevere or is it like this all the way through?
It's so far not holding a candle to KIN

I've seen a few here saying they bailed after the first few episodes. I thought the first series was very shaky, but it improved massively after that.

Anyone looking for more Irish gang dramas - look for the films '"The General" and "I Went Down", both starring Brendan Gleeson.

Resurrecting this thread as DH just finished Love/hate, loved it!!! (better than Kin!) and we need something of similar calibre/grit to get stuck into.

Can anyone recommend anything? Films or series. I've watched the whole of Vikings and Valhalla by myself and loved them.

Only subscription we have atm is Netflix so no point recommending Prime, Apple, Now or Disney etc.

I gave up on it. Completely unlikeable characters and I was a bit bored.

I can't think of anything good on Netflix, but if you manage to find it, The Shield is one of the best series I've ever seen. It's a cop drama, but so much better than any other one.

It can be very hit and miss can't it magicstar. Will definitely give The Shield a go, thanks for the recommendation 🙂
