KIN Is this worth watching?

Hello,

Looking for my next show, is Kim worth watching? Reviews online are mixed 😊

Yes, definitely took me three episodes. I’ve seen two Love/Hate a few weeks back and keep telling myself to go back because everyone seems to recommend, but it just didn’t grip me or make me want to persevere, so I’m not sure why I did with Kin.

I first tried Love / Hate when it was on Channel 5 a few years ago. Hated it because it seemed very low budget and all of the characters were really horrible. Gave up after two episodes. Gave it another go a few weeks ago because I saw a clip on ITV X and mistakenly thought "Nidge" was played by Robert Carlyle, who I really rate. Persevered and ended up loving it. It's an acquired taste but really rewarding if you persevere.

Really enjoyed in the end.

Would happily watch an S3 but I don't think it's needed.

Ep 4 onwards had me hooked, worth persevering.

Acting massively varied but enough very solid actors (Bren, Birdie) to outweigh the weaker ones (Michael, Amanda)

I stand corrected. We're on S3 of Love/Hate episode 4.

It has absolutely got better. Some characters still a bit low on development but story so much better. The actress playing Siobhan is so good, the scene where she describes wanting to turn herself inside out and scrub herself clean

It's definitely a grower.

Kin is also still very good .

Wait until you start to develop feelings for Nidge and Fran. It is very disconcerting. Up there with Fancying Ray Winstone 😂

Ha! Fran actually reminds me of a million blokes I used to see in clubs in the 90s.

Where are people watching Love/Hate?

Think I need to watch it again!
