Hello,

Looking for my next show, is Kim worth watching? Reviews online are mixed 😊

What platform is Love/Hate on?

Xyz1234567 · 20/03/2024 20:03

Love/hate in ITV X. It is far superior to KIN!

diddl · 20/03/2024 20:04

Love/hate is superb!

Tanfastic · 20/03/2024 20:06

I loved Kin and agree with a previous poster that series 2 is better with the brother, he's a brilliant actor. It's a bit brutal but I was gripped. One of the best things I've seen for a whole.

Started watching Love/hate the other day and turned it off, couldn't get into it...should I persevere?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 20/03/2024 20:13

Thanks!

Yes. It starts out looking like it's filmed on a handycam with terrible acting and then it gets better and you are so sucked in..

Love/hate is better but Kin is good too.

Agree... love/hate is WOW

Looovvveedd Kin.

Started love/hate based on people recommending it after I said I loved Kin, but I'm struggling with it a bit. Doesn't seem to be gripping me. Do I need to give it a chance, does it build?

You need to get midway through season 2 to really get into it. I only watched it again recently. It's so so good! Totally gripping

Littlemisssunseeker · 20/03/2024 22:35

Agree with the Love/hate love. I adored Kin and moved straight onto to Love/hate after seeing recommendations on her and have almost finished all 5 series in 2 weeks! It is absolutely incredible, the acting, the storylines, the music everything. So weird though as series 1 is like a totally different v low budget, poorly acted soap opera and then after that it just transforms into something else entirely- so definitely worth persevering!

boonr · 20/03/2024 22:38

YES! Loved it

ManchesterBeatrice · 21/03/2024 07:59

I watched the first episode, and can't say I was massively grabbed, but I'm definitely going to give it a few more episodes as a chance.

Obviously the end of the first episode is very shocking, but I didn't really find there was enough of interest before that. But obviously now I imagine there will be a whole big revenge story open up.

Hopefully I'll get a little bit more hooked.

I really enjoyed it, it's nothing groundbreaking but great acting and a good storyline.

Lurkingandlearning · 21/03/2024 09:17

Perhaps a silly question, but did you start with series 1? I don’t think you’ll get the same out of it if you start with series 2.

I loved it and thanks to a rare sleepless night binge watched the whole of series 2 in one go. I’m a bit sad I did that now as I doubt series 3 will be on any time soon

Cindy1802 · 21/03/2024 09:50

@ManchesterBeatrice keep going, the story line gets sooo good. The first ep just sets it up

ManchesterBeatrice · 21/03/2024 10:14

Series 1, and yea I'll persist 😊

Took me a while to get into Love / Hate but once I was in I was 'in' big time. Binge watched the hell out of it. Strongly recommend giving it another chance.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 23/03/2024 11:27

I loved Kin. Enjoyed how it built on shit decision after shit decision and hearts ruling heads. Series 3 main protagonist in particular is excellent - an awful, awful man, so brutal. Brilliantly acted!

We're on S3 of Love/Hate and I'm finding it's lacking substance. Filmed like an A Level Film Studies project by an over enthusiastic Danny Boyle fan.

Found all the Darren looking Tortured Soul all the time irritating.

I do want to enjoy it and as I'm stubborn will continue to watch the rest Grin

Ahh brilliant thanks

Stick with Kin Op, series 1 builds & then series 2 is fab (in a gruesome, gangland kind of way!)

He reminds me of the tall one from Young Offenders Grin

Soso85 · 23/03/2024 15:45

Loved it.

then watched the Gentlemen on Netflix which is hilarious

PSEnny · 23/03/2024 15:49

I liked it! Going to try Love / Hate now based on what others have said!
