The next few days are going to be rubbish. The boys will just ignore Louis and Fern will just cry a lot.

I'm looking forward to Fern's interview. She'll be eloquent about Nikita's attitude towards her, and he won't be.

Louis is now the bookies favourite to win.

Fern should have taken Nikita aside if she wanted to have the talk about the top, feeling the same at 66 etc. He just felt attacked out of nowhere.

Moving on, Marisha is great in this interview!

Ever since that ridiculous poisoned challis handed to Fern on St Patrick's Day, and the "twist" that meant that Louis more or less got a pass to the final, I have been convinced that it is being fixed for Louis to win.

I doubt that shamrock would have been brought out if Fern had placed the snake on someone else's bed.

When watching interactions between Nikita and Fern for the past week I feel like I must have missed an episode. Nikita appeared to develope a real dislike for Fern very early on and he couldn’t hide it. I think he’s tried hard to come across as Mr Nice Guy but he failed around Fern.

Agree Nikita doesn't think he said anything wrong [otherwise he'd have tripped himself up running to the DR to apologise]. But it's the type of casual ageism that needs highlighting and Fern bungled it badly with her nicey nicey I'm reasonable me approach. She'd have had more effect if she'd have said at the time, 'Oy! Are you implying I'm too old to know what's fashionable?' with a grin. Instead of simmering about it for days.

I agree. Fern let it simmer till it came out all wrong

I think there's a hefty dose of sexism involved. Its not just that Fern is older, she's an older woman.

I assume Nikita knows that Fern was critical of Artem and his style of teaching when they were partnered on strictly, Perhaps he feels a bit defensive

It’ll be interesting to see how Nikita behaves over the next few days. I suspect he might turn on the charm now for Fern to preserve his nice guy persona.

That's a good point actually - is that his reason for repeatedly nomming Fern?

@Seebeebe Yes, have noticed the same and just don’t get it, he seems very dismissive of her, even if he wasn’t keen on her, he could’ve at least been polite/a bit friendlier. I don’t get the Nikita love at all though 🤷🏻‍♀️
I also agree that Fern let it fester and it came out when she’d had a drink, she must have felt like she really needed to say it
The interviews from them both will be interesting for sure!

She said what a lot of women feel in their 60s plus, know I do on occasion, kind of a bit irrelevant and it is hard to explain to a 20 something that in your 60s your head is still in the same place as your 20s, I’d never have believed that if I’d been told it when I was young 🤪 it all just came out wrong on the night 😱

It didn't sound to me from his tone of voice on the stripes being in fashion comment that he was patronising her and suggesting that she didn't know this because she is old. I thought he was really dignified in his response to her when she made her snidey pass ag comments randomly in the middle of the game 🫤 I'm old AND didn't know that stripes are in fashion and didn't find it offensive 😂

I think she has a point but it was executed badly and I doubt very much any of that was actually about the top. She's probably just had enough of the "even Fern" comments and snapped.

She should've owned it though and explained properly as it came across really badly in the garden and he didn't know / or care what she was on about.

I dislike him though saying and can't understand the love for him at all!

I agree about this idea of Nikita being attractive @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor. I get a really bad vibe from him; I actually find him quite creepy. Maybe thats because I expected him to be very different (flamboyant and carefree).

Vile?! Come on. Just because you have decided that Nikita is ageist and dislikes Fern because she's an older woman doesn't mean it's actually true. Maybe she did something he didn't like in the house, maybe it was the Artem thing (most likely imo), maybe he's just ambivalent towards her and that's fine too. He's not obligated to like her.

He tries very hard to come across as a gentleman but his feelings leak out

I'm still loving Nikita - think he's been able to see through Fern from the start so has given her a wide berth. I don't blame him at all as Fern seems horrible!

Gutted Marisha & Zeze are out! Would have expected them to make the final!

What has Fern done to make you say she seems "horrible"?

I don’t think she’s horrible she’s just had a bee in her bonnet about her age I think, I feel sorry for her more than anything

Well I said quite vile, and I do feel that way - I find him quite strange tbh. I agree with you, the Artem grudge is entirely possible.

She's passive aggressive and always makes sly digs, but then acts innocent. Example tonight with Nikita but previously with Ekin Su and the Only Fans comment, asking the boys faux innocently about who refused the kiss at the booth etc.

She gives me real mean girl vibes & I'm definitely not a fan. Hope she's out next.
