I think Fern pointed out that Ekin had also nominated her. I don't think Fern's nomination dealt the death blow, she was just articulating what the public were already seeing. Ekin's reaction to Marisha's nomination sealed her fate. Making Marisha grovel was not nice to watch.

But did Fern feel guilt and that’s why she said don’t talk about it?

Louis was saying that what Fern said in her nomination "killed" Ekin, so I think he made Fern feel bad.
