Did realise it was on although was aware it was coming up soon. Maybe because I don’t have kids in school anymore.

Lenny Henry is 65 years old now! He’s looking good.

They’ve had two W1a films quite early on. Loved that programme (and its predecessor).

whoever wrote the lovely Jamie Dornan that sketch should be shot

citrinetrilogy · 15/03/2024 20:59

Do you think if I donate some money, they will make the desperately unfunny Alan Partridge go away?

43ontherocksporfavor · 15/03/2024 21:02

Maya Jama, you are falling out of that dress!!
Loved Smithy and George.
Loved hearing about the lives Lenny has affected.

43ontherocksporfavor · 15/03/2024 21:03

Yes I too thought that singer was fab and wanted to hear more of her rather than Paloma.

Intestinequeen · 15/03/2024 21:05

Butteredtoast55 · 15/03/2024 20:25

Paloma Faith being outclassed by the singer in the choir

Totally agree 😆

Goatymum · 15/03/2024 21:07

Maya’s dress is so stressful! I swear I saw a nip 😆
Alan Partridge is so tedious.
Im waiting for the Traitors thing then I’m off!
Love Lenny, he’s great. Saw him in conversation with Romesh a few months ago.

citrinetrilogy · 15/03/2024 21:08

TRAITORS ON NOW!!!

A parody of the classic Two Ronnies

The Two Ronnies - Mastermind Sketch

A vintage sketch from the two Ronnie's as they do the popular quiz show Mastermind from 1980

That dress!! I hope she's hoiked it up a bit when she's next on screen. It's making me anxious. She must be superbly body confident to carry off such a daring outfit.

C1N1C · 15/03/2024 21:13

Wow this has declined. I haven't watched it in ten years or so, but most of it is falling flat.

Willmafrockfit · 15/03/2024 21:17

also havent watched it for a long time,

I’m enjoying this musical (off to Google tickets).

OP posts:
43ontherocksporfavor · 15/03/2024 21:27

I’m not. It’s awful!
Cringe. Can’t hold a candle to actual Live Aid so should have left alone.

Riverlee · 15/03/2024 21:28

In the past, the programme was full of comedic moments, celebrities doing funny sketches etc. This evening it almost feels like the final ever show.

I think that when Comic Relief started in the 80s it was the main thing on TV on that Friday night. There’s a lot to compete with now.

Goatymum · 15/03/2024 21:29

Have turned over now ti Google box!!!

43ontherocksporfavor · 15/03/2024 21:29

Thanks @Goatymum . Reminded me.

WhoTurnedTheLightsOff · 15/03/2024 21:32

I remember the first one. It was chaotic and irreverent. You could tell everyone was quite drunk by the end of it. That's what was the beauty of it. Today everything has to be so rehearsed and professional and slick that there's no room for any anarchic humour and fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants live tv.

Kaftanesque · 15/03/2024 21:33

I'm found the Live Aid musical painful tbh.It seems they have to make a musical about everything now.But the bits with Lenny are genuinely moving. And feeling nostalgic for the years I watched it with my DCs and they got excited about it.

PinotPony · 15/03/2024 21:38

Is Kate Winslet swearing meant to be funny?
