I saw Machac claiming he had brought back the short shorts. Err no I think it was Holger!

You and me both Jane! It seems quite stressful, and they don’t even get paid. But each to her own.

Machac is not going to win this, but he's played well this week, he has to be pleased with his progress- it's not a bad thing to lose to Jannik, who has to be the most in-form player at the moment.

But he needs to re think the shorts.

I love the short shorts but they're still not 80's short

Tennis players seem to be split into two camps now. Chunky thighs = short shorts. Skinny stork legs = long shorts.

The thing is, they don't seem to be made short- Machac (and Rune, and others) has reasonable length shorts, and then hoicks them up. That's what I don't get.

If they want short ones, get short ones!

And then there's Taylor Fritz, who does strange things with just one sleeve.

I have just switched on, and thought Marozsan was wearing a new twist on the shorts tuck, with longer flappy bits- and realised it was tape on his thigh .

The shorts thing is getting a bit ridiculous now!

I was thinking the same about Azarenka- it's odd how the matches have panned out.

I have no chance really of seeing the later match.

Good win for Sascha earlier- though Marozsan has had a good week, and proved he can beat some decent players.

That was a strange second set - Rybakina barely won a point!

I wasn't really watching properly Fizzy -I find it strange how often these topsy turvy scorelines happen with the top players- especially the women.
