Gail is in an old episode of Dr Who circa 1971

Still exactly the same but slightly posher

JewelleryCat · 01/03/2024 20:34

Ryan’s scars are hardly there

DerekFaker · 01/03/2024 20:36

Yay, Ryan!

almostthere75 · 01/03/2024 22:36

Steve's not even upset about the affair, can't blame him,he does deserve better.
Is he ever at work anymore.
I think I missed Mondays ep.
I've missed a few because the days aren't consistent.

Daisy and Ryan sweet.

Overloadimplode · 01/03/2024 23:48

Where is Lauren?
I love Daisy and I totally believe in her and Daniel.

Lauren got caught rooting around in Bethany’s bag then Roy gave her the wages owed then she disappeared, not been seen since though Bobby did a missing persons report

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 02/03/2024 04:06

@Overloadimplode i really don’t like Daisy. I think she is spoilt, immature and manipulative. She managed to successfully play the victim this week despite her appalling treatment of Daniel during their relationship. Everybody was already aware she had cheated with Ryan. She has no right to be annoyed at Daniel for anything. She is lucky he is even speaking to her at all.
She only wanted Daniel back as he has moved on. She wants to be in control and would soon get bored of him if they rekindled.
She seems to have more respect for Ryan and he brings out her other qualities. They are a better match.

Risun · 02/03/2024 07:11

Daisy and Ryan are a good match, but he's not who she really wants.

He's a 'doofah'.

Didn’t Daisy miraculously work out Stephen’s password and log into this account. Then transferred everything. Since it was done electronically there would be a clear trail showing the money fraudulently going to her or Jenny’s bank account but that’s a minor detail.

And then the solicitor dealing with the Rovers purchase obviously didn’t ask to see proof of the source of funds (probably ‘trained’ at the same legal school as genius Adam). All sounds totally plausible😂

A relative of mine died last year and getting access to any of her accounts has been like trying to enter Fort Knox so Daisy is clearly a criminal mastermind.

The whole buying the Rovers was ridiculous, Stolen funds, Signed, sealed and moved into within days.

My SIL had power of attorney for FIL. She tried access his accounts to transfer money into her own account and got swiftly knocked back by the banks. The banks had been notified of his death by his solicitor.

I'm glad Ryan is back and I think him and Daisy are a better match then Daisy and Daniel

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 02/03/2024 11:43

@Risun whats a doofsh please? I’ve never heard that expression before.

Risun · 02/03/2024 11:58

@Thequeenofwishfulthinking 'Doofah' as in 'doofah now'.

Hellendegenerate · 02/03/2024 12:02

I googled doofah.
There are other explanations 😨

Wish I hadn't looked 😛

Same. I hope she realises that and gets over Daniel.

AmusedMaker · 02/03/2024 13:15

Daisy will probably end up with Steve McDonald. ( to continue the theme of unlikely pairings )

she definitely won’t live happily ever after with either Ryan or Daniel.

eggandonion · 02/03/2024 13:23

Adam is available too.

zanahoria · 02/03/2024 13:30

I am a bit bored of all the love triangles. All participants seem unpleasant and childish then react when the same behaviour bounces back at them.

Although, I was pleased to see Bethany finally call Daniel out about his absurdly patronizing manner. Not sure how he managed to get two beautiful women competing for the privilege of being talked down to by him.

greengreengrass25 · 02/03/2024 13:48

Glad Ken stuck up for Steve

Tracey is awful

Do you remember how she used to be obsessed with being with Steve. It's all a bit unbelievable

Eastie77Returns · 02/03/2024 18:57

Tracey has been obsessed with Steve since she was about 13. I do think it’s believable that 30 odd years later she is no longer in love and he feels like a a pair of worn out slippers. He hasn’t exactly aged gracefully and has turned into a cartoonish idiot.

I thought the scene where she was saying she’s fed up waking up in that tiny, dreary house and living on the street where everyone knows your business was very realistic. It’s a bit of a drab existence really. She reminded me of Deidre who went through a similar phase with ‘boring Ken’ when she just became frustrated with her humdrum life. Maybe Johnny is meant to be her Mike Baldwin.

Izzy24 · 02/03/2024 19:00

I’ve been watching Classic Corrie. They’ve turned Steve into such an idiot now.

bizzey · 02/03/2024 20:02

Daisy's face did light up though when she saw Ryan...slot more than it ever did/does when she sees Daniel !

Yes! When she said about the antique/ancient furniture I thought, I'm sure we've mentioned that on this thread too.

Izzy24 · 02/03/2024 19:00

I’ve been watching Classic Corrie. They’ve turned Steve into such an idiot now.

He used to be a bit of a wide boy and genuinely witty, especially when Lloyd was around.

It is a real shame to see characters become more one dimensional over time

Steve has literally been in thousands of episodes, spread over thirty five years.

It is a real waste to see him being reduced to a buffoon.

Eastie77Returns · 04/03/2024 19:36

I’m sure Steve was a better actor when he was younger. Definitely funnier and I always liked his scenes with Lloyd and mad Jim when he was around. I read the actor has suffered a series of terrible tragedies in real life and has been absent/written out for months at a time over the years so I’m not sure the writers have always known what to do with his character.

JewelleryCat · 04/03/2024 20:00

Do you think for sone of the actors that have been there a long time, Corrie is like a comfort blanket for them and they don’t want to leave so they do whatever storyline there is, however ridiculous it might be?
