8parts - looks like 2 a week on Tuesday evening

So

The kinsella family are back at the top of their game after the murder of eamon in end of s2

But

A Turkish cartel informs them that eamon owed them a huge debt and since they killed him, the debt is now theirs !!!!

But the biggest threat is that Brendon ‘Bren’ Kinsella is released from prison early

I think he was in for murder and thought was life but .......

I've got a couple of Kin Questions, not sure if anyone can settle them for me please?

Do we know how it came out about Michael being Jamie's real father and that he and Amanda were sleeping together behind Jimmy's back?

Who was the man who went over to Frank's in last night's episode, did little bit of tidying up and told him off about his diet and lifetstyle?

I think that chap is franks new driver after the last one (Dancer I think?) was clipped when an attempt was made on Frank Bu Cunninghams gang.

Not sure about how Michael/Amanda came out

Also really really enjoying S2 - it's definitely not suffering from Second Series Syndrome as like another poster said, I think it's better than the first. It reminds me of Ozark, that same unrelenting feeling of things going from bad to worse to disastrous.

But my god, Bren is awful. Actually one of the scariest characters I've seen in tv in a while. That phone call to Jess how Jimmy and Viking can happily be a part of this!

Niki is so pretty though ... I'm worried she could be collateral damage.

I wonder actually if Bren will be killed by one of the ladies?

Really hope there is a third series!

I'm not liking the new hard nosed Amanda as much, the little chink of vulnerability has all but totally disappeared.. still 100% on her side though!

My skin crawls when I see Birdy literally recoil from Bren. She plays that typical role of trying to keep the peace though. I'm wondering if there'll be any repercussions for Michael threatening his father? I'm also fearful for Niki, what on earth is she doing mixed up with that family? What the hell does she see in Viking? She's absolutely stunning and smart.

What a miserable existence they all have. All that violence and fear to make big money, until they were in debt, but no one seems to have a lifestyle that shows it and they're all living on a knife edge all the time. That scene in the Furry Bog with the gunman trapped in the porch was just horrible, not that it was ever going to end well either way.

I did think there was a slight softening in Amanda when she was outside with Michael and Anthony was up on the roof watching. I was thinking, please don't kiss, please don't kiss.

Reading recap of 3. I didn't reliese how Kevin died. I thought he shot hisself as knew he was trapped

But nope. Was a fluke

Kevin ends up killing himself with a ricocheted bullet when he tries to shoot Viking through the bulletproof glass.

Bren did abuse Birdie, thats why when he got out of nick, he was putting his hand on her knee under the table (in the pub).. she squirmed and pulled the bottom of her skirt down to cover her knees more. Plus while hes there, shes locking her bedroom door i noticed last night.

There are lots of implications about Bren being sexually abusive, not least historically with Birdy and her warning about not letting him near Anna, but looking at the family tree you wonder why he's estranged from his wife and unnamed daughter, apart from all the violence, murdering, drug dealing and other criminal activities that is.

I haven't seen any mention of Julie at all, maybe in future series depending on what happens? No mention at all of Viking's mother or any serious relationship for Frank before he came out as gay.

Nothing's been said outright a.bout Bren and sexual abuse, but yes, we discussed the scene in the pub with his hand on Birdy's leg and how the camera lingered. How he eyed Nikita's friends and said 'which one's for me?' despite the age difference and obvious degrees of attractiveness. Then there's more scenes between him and Birdy, just little moments, nothing said but she conveys her distaste and concern.
Edit. Conveys her feelings but he doesn't notice, or care even if he did.
