The 3 of them all seemed pretty amicable. They (Harry, Mollie and Jas) are going to be on Claudia's Radio 2 show today too.

Definitely. For me saying it was just a game is like saying salespeople who prey on the elderly or vulnerable -are just doing their job. It may be legal but doesn't stop it being immoral.

Rubbish, this is nowhere near comparable to that

See if I was an employer, I'd avoid him like the plague! I'd hire Jaz in a heartbeat though. Takes all sorts as you say. Honesty is so important to me...

On uncloaked, jaz said he was desperate to be a traitor and was doing everything he could to get Claudia to pick him. If he had been picked, he would’ve had to lie and deceive so I’m not sure if what role you ended up with is necessarily a good barometer of honesty

noblegiraffe · 27/01/2024 09:05

The idea that Jaz would have voted for another banishment despite thinking Harry was faithful just so he would get more prize money would have been a massive gamble wouldn’t it? As it would have required making Mollie vote against Harry. Everyone knew how close they were.

So that wouldn’t have made any sense as a course of action.

The only reason Jaz could have voted to continue was that he was genuinely suspicious of Harry. The only path left to a win for Jaz given that Harry was a traitor was to hope that Mollie would turn against Harry.

distinctpossibility · 27/01/2024 09:07

@Girlontherailreplacementbusservice

What is this word "traitorous"? Don't you mean "traitorish"? 😅

Yousay55 · 27/01/2024 09:07

The way Harry treated Mollie was appalling. He chose someone who was essentially vulnerable to manipulate. I know it’s a ‘game’ but that wasn’t a classy way to play.
That money will be spent in five minutes but his reputation of behaving that way will last an awful lot longer.
The abuse that Mollie is getting on instagram and the like, is horrible.

Willmafrockfit · 27/01/2024 09:08

munchbunch12 · 27/01/2024 08:53

Harry, Jas and Mollie are on BBC breakfast now!

oh where is andrew?

MaggieFS · 27/01/2024 09:09

It would be interesting to watch a version with only 18-25 years olds compared with a version of only 40+ players.

I think people taking it all a little too seriously has taken the fun out of the thread a bit.

I don't agree with most of your post, but I agree with the last line. Nobody should get abuse.

That's true. The fact he ended up being a faithful put him heavily in my favour. I think it's a much harder job, and he did it so well.
I can imagine another universe where the situation was reversed, and I'd be saying different things. I do acknowledge that.
I think I found Harry's game especially ruthless, particularly in relation to Mollie.
Of course I don't know his innermost thoughts, or Jaz's for that matter...

NonPlayerCharacter · 27/01/2024 09:13

It made no sense.

If Jas were a Traitor, he knows who the Faithful are. So from Mollie's perspective, knowing she is Faithful, it's either:

Jas is not a Traitor and truly believes Harry is. Let's be safe and banish Harry. I'll split money with him if I'm wrong. Vote Harry.

Jas is a Traitor and Harry isn't. I know I'm not, so why the fuck would Jas vote to banish? He doesn't need to off Harry, he just needs to stay in the game. He'd vote to end if that were the case. So this can't be right. Vote Harry.

They're both Traitors and Jaz just wants more of the pot. In this case, I've lost already, so my vote doesn't change my outcome. Vote either Jas or Harry, doesn't matter.

There's literally no scenario where voting Jas improves her outcome. At best it leaves it unchanged. At worst it costs her the game. Whereas voting Harry means that at worst her outcome is unchanged and at best she wins.

Ugh, I know we all know this but it's so infuriating!!!

lizzowhiz · 27/01/2024 09:15

Interesting that some posters are slating Harry for playing the game well. Yes, he capitalised on Mollie's feelings towards him - that's the game! She was also manipulative- the emoting, the tears, whispering to Harry 'is it you?' right near the end! She totally came across as the weak, vulnerable female which is just as much a stereotype as the ruthless male.

Ultimately all the contestants knew what they signed up for. They wanted to be on TV, they wanted exposure at the very least! Probably most of them had their eye on the big cash prize too. It's so patronising to make out any of them are victims. There was an alternative: don't choose to enter a tv game where you know exactly what the rules are. Of course that would mean not getting tv exposure, not being all over social media oh and having to do a real hard graft job in the real world for several years to earn 95k.

catsareheroes · 27/01/2024 09:16

I think the mistake some players make is thinking other players are their friends. They are not friends, while they're in there at least. Everyone wants to win the money for themselves.

Mollie banished Jaz because she wrongly trusted Harry and thought he was her friend. He wasn't. She was asking him while writing on the slate and he said he wasn't a traitor, but of course he would say that even if he was. Did she really think he was going to pass up £90k because of a 'friendship'? Hell, some people would throw their lifelong friends and family under the bus for a bit of money.

There is no such thing as friends in The Traitors!

themusingsofaninsomniac · 27/01/2024 09:17

laclochette · 27/01/2024 08:48

@themusingsofaninsomniac If he was the only traitor left he'd be getting 100% of the cash even with 3 ppl left, so would have voted green. If he was one of two traitors and aiming to banish a fellow traitor to avoid splitting the pot, then Mollie would have lost either way as she'd have been left with one traitor at the end, so she should have voted green in case there was only one traitor. There's no way that voting green isn't always the best chance of winning if you're a Faithful at the firepit with two other people, one of whom votes red and one green.

I'm not saying it wasn't obvious he was a faithful, he was. But he could have wanted 50k not 30k, so chose to banish again.. therefore securing he was a faithful in everyone's eyes. So logically meaning he wouldn't get voted out.

It would, but I'm scared of what we would see!

And this is why Uncloaked was so dissatisfactory last night. What was her thinking? Perhaps it might come out in some of today's interviews.

I think people taking it all a little too seriously has taken the fun out of the thread a bit.

Yeah, I'm probably guilty of this. Sorry. I think it's just because I was so upset Jaz and the faithfuls didn't win, especially when it was so close. I can't help that I was horrified by Harry's treatment of Mollie.
I was very light-hearted on the threads before last night.
Anyway, must get on with the day.
Jaz is the true winner for me, and probably many of us here. It's been lovely having that camaraderie with my fellow faithfuls here!
Take care all ❤️

Definitely still beef with Harry and Mollie as they aren't following each other online. Big sign to me!

I do hope he gives her something, but understand why he likely won't. Not Jaz, cos he didn't inadvertently manipulate him.

Hawkerslife · 27/01/2024 09:22

What a final episode! My heart was pounding and I had to get up and walk around whilst watching it. So intense.

I was a Harry supporter from the start so glad he won but also feel bad for Jazz and Mollie.

It doesn't look like Harry and Mollie follow each other on Instagram so can't be that good friends!

noblegiraffe · 27/01/2024 09:23

An interesting question is whether Mollie would have made it to the final if Harry hadn't been protecting her from murder.

Roastiesarethebestbit · 27/01/2024 09:24

Of course he shouldn’t give her any of his winnings! He lied to her and told her she could trust him, but that’s how you play the game! She was a bad player.

noblegiraffe · 27/01/2024 09:23

Of course not. She would have been one of those easy "neutral" murders like Charlie was.

noblegiraffe · 27/01/2024 09:23

An interesting question is whether Mollie would have made it to the final if Harry hadn't been protecting her from murder.

Possibly. She never had any suspicion on her. But if she hadn't been so bewitched by Harry, she would have been more switched on and open to criticism of him, which may have made her more of a threat and more of an influence within the group. I think she was well liked so people would have listened to her.

As it is, she was this season's Hannah without the last minute awakening.
