Well Chris is clearly a barbarian under the surface, as he calls a fish slice a spatula!!

I could fast forward over most of the chats, but at least they're less vacuous than the last couple of series

I really don't think I can make it through the whole series, it's sooooo repetitive and booooring!

Even Jake's departure (which seemed to come out of the blue - or perhaps it just came to him as he meditated) seemed to be met without much reaction. Everyone seemed v unsurprised.

What an odd man Callum is.
He looks completely bothered that Mollie is talking to Chris, but just shrugs when anyone asks how he feels about it. Mental. If she ends up with someone else, he'll look back with regret. She has far more oomph about her than he does, and she's much cleverer/articulate. So weird to see how many of the guys fancy her, yet she seems much more invested in Callum than vice versa.

Jake leaving is really weird to me. There must be something else, eg he's homesick; or maybe he literally only joined to make peace (publicly) with Lib and also pocket his fee.

Lib seems to be doing exactly the same as last time - jumping in very quickly, overthinking everything, analysing every move Mitch makes, and terrifying him.

And Josh joining tomorrow is ugh 🤢 He's awful.

I can see why the public put Jake and Liberty together - sheer mischief-making a and they came out of it pretty well (yes we're really over, no going back). So unless Jake's only motivation for going in was to see if they could get back together, I really don't see why he quit so early. Because he didn't really seem inclined to play the game (though he might have been when trying meditation) - or perhaps his only game is to latch on to one at the start and carry it through, and he'd quickly sussed there was no chance.

OTOH the Molly / Callum coupling is just plain creepy - she looks as if she wants to be nowhere near him and in the 'intervention' had heard it all before and believes none of it. But is putting up with it for the sake of the show.

I think Molly came across as a right bitch last night. Laughing in his face, not listening to him, talking over him, interrupting.

She properly showed herself up.

I had such a different take on that - but I can see what you mean.

I thought he looked perplexed that she wasn't falling in to line and agreeing with any of what he was saying; and that she was utterly fed up of same-old same-old

She's keeping both him and Chris dangling. Chris has spotted the chance that he's just a way to pass the time in some game she's having with Callum. And I don't think he finds that attractive, but I'm not sure he really fancies anyone else.

There's a toxicity between them that proves they are a couple who were right to split up. I think it's a bit shit putting recently split couples into the villa as I cna with hearing them whinge on about and dissect their relationship issues. Yeah, I get it's about drama, but fucking hell it's just boring.

For what it's worth, I feel like with Jake, the penny dropped quite early on that he was screwed. Maybe he hadn't thought it through properly in the first instance. It obviously feels very different for all of them second time round as they discussed it. A bit like going on holiday for the second time to the same place and it feeling 'off' but in Jake's case, feeling like a totally dick on top of it all. I absolutely think he did the right thing going, and cane across mature and measured in his decision. Couldn't stand the bloke beforehand, but made me respect him a bit.

Bloody hell, Chris is living his best life. Good for him!!

@CarpyDiem I disagree! I think he just seemed sad at how she was behaving. There was really no need for it and nobody would stand for it if a guy was behaving the same way.

I think Jake did the right thing leaving. He didn’t know Lib was going to be there.

I’m actually really enjoying it. I wasn’t sure how it would go given they all know each other surely but it’s working pretty well so far.

I adore Chris and want him to win everything. I’m so glad he’s getting some attention.

I like that they’ve mixed up the morning debriefs with it being girls and boys together. It’s much better.

Wanting all the attention / limelight / exposure springs to mind. Which was exactly why she made a play for Callum in Casa during the original season they were in.

But afaik Mollie hasn't done anything limelight-y since last time she was on? They lived together, so why do u think she was only making a play for Chris in Casa for attention?

I don't see it that way. They were chitchatting and it seemed tharlt out of nowhere he asked if she still fancied him, and she laughed at the ridiculousness of it. Otoh, she said (and he agreed) that he never ever complimented her or talked about how he felt, yet seemed to expect her to discuss her feelings.
She looks like she's so over that shit. Yet bizarrely, she was the one who had wanted marriage and kids but Chris didn't.
Chris just shrugs and says he's not bothered every time anyone asks him! That would do my head in!
