Don't you just hate it when your favourite show gets cancelled?

Our Flag Means Death got cancelled by HBOMax last week - two seasons in to a three-season arc, and I'm so sad. Pre-production hiring had already begun, for crying out loud! The BBC have season one on iPlayer, and I really want to see how it ends.

There's a huge effort to try and change the minds of the execs, and to that end if you could sign/share the petition I'd be so so grateful. It might not help, but it definitely won't hurt.

Same here! especially banished as Jamestown at least had a bit of a longer run. Homefires!! I've never got over that!! It was so good, I read the books that followed and good as they were it was not the same.

@Atomickittyxx a kindred spirit! Yes, Jamestown had 3 series I think. But just one for Banished. I really think there were some storylines that could have been developed 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Britannia was frustrating because the story arc throughout has been about Cait being the saviour of the crushed Britons and overcoming Rome but it never got there and won't now. I thought it was really well done and well acted, shame they let it go.

Came on to say Britannia - so very annoying. It was such a fantastic show.

I was the idiot that started watching Schmigadoon knowing it had been cancelled! Now I’ve fallen in love with it and am bereft there’s no more.

Anyone remember BBC Alantis? I loved that show. Gutted when they axed it.
Also like Doctors even though it is cringe at times.

I also found out that the budget for theb2nd series was slashed by 40% which explains the pacing, not that I’ve ahem pirated the series

Netflix advertised the OA to me as something I might enjoy for ages so I watched only to find they'd cancelled it at the end of season 2 on a cliffhanger several years ago! No Netflix, I would not enjoy watching an unfinished story. Arghh!

Yeah, I'm sure the budget cuts are why there were 8 rather than 10 episodes in s2 - and there were a couple of elements that really suffered for having less time, which was tragic. It's honestly astonishing that they managed to do as much as they did - but think if the deep pockets of Prime or Netflix pick it up, maybe we can have a season three that can afford to meander through the story properly...

I only saw the first season of the OA, glad I never tried going further with it! That's crackers, advertising-wise.
