Don't you just hate it when your favourite show gets cancelled?

Our Flag Means Death got cancelled by HBOMax last week - two seasons in to a three-season arc, and I'm so sad. Pre-production hiring had already begun, for crying out loud! The BBC have season one on iPlayer, and I really want to see how it ends.

There's a huge effort to try and change the minds of the execs, and to that end if you could sign/share the petition I'd be so so grateful. It might not help, but it definitely won't hurt.

I was late to see Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, and once I'd got my head around it not being anything like the Douglas Adams books, I really enjoyed it. Third series never happened which was a huge shame as it was left with a bit of a cliffhanger about Ken.

Mindhunter got cancelled and it was AMAZING ! Best show ever and ended with loads still to tell / investigate .

I loved Banished and also Jamestown. Still a bit miffed about both!

The Expanse was so good, and there are still more books in the series but they've stopped the tv show. At least they didn't stop it on a cliff-hanger.

I also recently watched Perception on Disney+. That left so many loose ends.

Papergirls was amazon, and Flashforward (which I LOVED) was made in the mid 2000s, not by Netflix.

Yes I’ll include Amazon in the being as shit as Netflix group. I read an article a bit ago and it said overall Netflix were the worst for this with Amazon second. There were all sorts of stats about the amount of shows getting cancelled most commonly after two seasons even though viewing figures were reasonable and at a level other channels/companies would most likely have kept them going

1899, it was by the creators of Dark and like that show they had a 3 series plan for it. Sadly despite getting nearly 100k signatures on a petition it seems unlikely that any more episodes will be made. https://www.change.org/p/renew-1899-on-netflix

I must live on another planet. I watch loads of TV but haven't heard of any of the above programs! At least I won't waste my time getting invested now so thanks 😂

My memory is too short to recall ones from a while ago, so I also came to say Lockwood and Co. I absolutely loved it, a great mix of humour, drama, darkness and it's clearly very highly rated on Netflix. Why oh why would you not make more?!

Oh and Freaks and Geeks really should have had more seasons.
