I couldn't see another thread, is anyone watching? I thought the opening pro number was fabulous, loved the skate through London.

Will be interesting to how it is with Stephen and Holly, they seemed relaxed together when he stood in for Phil.

Do they usually have 4 in the final? I feel like it's usually 3, then one's kicked off part way through and doesn't get to do bolero (which always feels unfair as they've been practicing it).

No they don't. They made it up as they went along this year. Double elimination, then introducing flying (which favoured the likes of Amber, and to be fair her performance was the best of the night, but then she wasn't skating was she) and having four in the final, to ensure that there was at least one woman in the final. I don't normally go with the screams of "Fix!" but this year there has been manipulation.

The most telling week for me, was the 'no dance off week'. What was that all about? And why only that week?

They could have made time for voting and a skate off. Plenty of ad breaks and the pointless guest singer. It feels like the whole series has been (not so subtley) manipulated.

It seems that because the typical "couple to pull out with injury" - (man from gogglebox) - happened in the autumn and he was replaced with Eddie and then the injury during the series was Claire who was due to be eliminated anyway they have ended up with too many contestants, particularly men, hence the "fixing".

The fact that the only person so far to get all 10s then went out in the same episode does make it all seem a bit ridiculous.

@MusicAndDanse She didn’t deserve the 10s as she hasn’t skated much on her own. She’s very elegant and does outstanding and daring lifts. She clings onto her partner most of the time. She never should have been saved all those times. The other contestants might have been wobbly but at least they all attempted to skate on there own. Saying that she did do the sole skate. It does seem like she wasn’t confident enough to skate on her own.

Well I think we can all agree Amber would be an amazing skater providing she never touches the ice!

It was the right call but to be honest I don't think either of them are strong finalists. And neither Ryan.

I've not seen much improvement this year really.

I didn't particularly think she deserved the 10s. It was all just strange. I don't really get the flying because it isn't really about skating much.

There's no one I'm really looking forward to watching. Usually someone stands out and has a performance that's particularly good.

Oh no. I was rooting for Greg to win. Shows they made the right decision in going for a four person final though. I hope they already had the timings and filler for a three person final in the planning file and ready to go, otherwise the producer's having a very stressful day.

The Mail are saying that Greg dropping out makes it a two horse race between Adele and Ryan, which irritates the hell out of me. Miles is just as good a skater as the other two.

I'm surprised at that. Miles has been strong all the way through. My first thought was its now a two horse race between Miles and Adele - much as I like Ryan, he's not as strong a skater as them.

Yes maybe - but Miles was last on the leaderboard last week and not in the dance off, so he must have beaten Adele in the vote at the very least.

I like Adele, but she's demonstrably not getting the votes. I assume the DM hack has just done a halfarsed job based on no initial knowledge with a 5 minute deadline to meet - happens all the time (and no, not just the DM).

I'd like to see Adele win (not gonna happen) because she's a decent skater and I like her, I think it would be fair enough for Miles to win because he's probably the best performer, I'm going to be cross if Ryan wins.

Not sure I can be bothered to watch now if Greg is out. I do like Ryan but not sure he will win.

I would be very surprised if Adele won as last week she was in the skate off so cannot be getting votes
