Now fully at Live TV pace.

Will it be a traitor in the kitchen with a poisoned chalice?

I still don't get why Diane didn't question the glass she was drinking from. They've been there long enough to know what the glasses in the kitchen are like.

Aaron had a near breakdown last time, but he was Faithful. If you watch, a lot of them cover their faces.

It just isn't as easy to spot a liar as you might think. If it were, there'd be no show!

No, I wasn't meaning that people who cover their faces when reacting are liars. Rather it's a device to disguise what you're feeling. For example, in some cirumstances a faithful might be happy that another faithful has gone but they won't want others to see that they're happy.

I also couldn't believe that none of them remembered Paul and Miles making a big fuss about looking for his water bottle then suspiciously disappearing. I know it's heavily edited but they're properly clueless.

Yep, the fact he came in and specifically addressed Paul! He could have asked if anyone had seen it, and Paul could have just replied that he'd come and help him look.

There were a few random goblets/different glasses on the bar at the time

I didn't watch the last series (why????!) and so maybe I missed a bit of the rules, but - if the invited faithful refuses to become a Traitor then what happens? Do they get killed? Or do the Traitors have to murder someone else that night?

I cant remember, but I think if they refuse, then the Traitors have lost their chance to murder until the next night

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 18/01/2024 17:21

@commonground last year they chose Alex and she refused. Nothing happened and she revealed to the group she had been recruited but refused. They did kill her off the next night though

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 18/01/2024 17:23

@commonground should add, later in the game Wilf recruited Kieren and he had a choice to become a Traitor or be murdered immediately. So last year there were two different scenarios.

That is normally the case but I’m not sure whether Claudia said that specifically this time?

crabbyoldbat · 18/01/2024 17:25

I think she said they'd be murdered if they didn't turn

MadCatLady27 · 18/01/2024 17:50

Another source for the songs although it doesn't feel quite as atmospheric listening to them without the context of the show

@crabbyoldbat
I don't know how the final day/ end point is fixed. I presume they know it will be x days. I don't think the players can call it before then, but it's once they are into that set piece, then it would be as you describe. If they think there have only ever been three traitors and they've got three, they assume they are all faithful and can choose to end or banish again.

It's very much in the producers' interest for the traitors to recruit to add spiceyness, but they need to keep it interesting from one series to the next so it isn't formulaic.

Yeah they're fine as background music but I'm not a fan of taking songs and slowing them down John Lewis style

MadeOfAllWork · 18/01/2024 18:00

They must have to do a set number of tasks and round tables to make a show.

Violahastings · 18/01/2024 18:04

I hate the weird cover songs, they do this on Love Island as well.

ClarasZoo · 18/01/2024 18:23

I have only just caught up and so a bit new to this. However, won’t it now be obvious to the faithful that Paul is a traitor? Because why else would Miles have nominated him? Miles never nominated him before. Also, Zack worked out that the reason Meg went was that Paul is a traitor…surely Paul has to go tonight…

You’d think. But everyone seems to have forgotten that Miles voted for Paul.

However, if Harry has any brains then he will remind everyone.

Well despite best efforts, this thread still has a way to go! What are the options of names for the next one?

Well, it might start some thinking, particularly with Harry's 'traitors fighting' comments. We just haven't seen it yet, only their instant reaction to Miles going - once they've calmed down there may be thoughts😁

WriterOfWrongs · 18/01/2024 19:07

Building on the Paul-based title theme, and apologies for the alliteration but that's the mood I'm in, how about:

Has Popular Paul Poisoned His Prospects?

OP posts:
Jellykat · 18/01/2024 19:07

I'll be gobsmacked if anyone remembers Miles nominated Paul, and add 2+2 to make 4.. only a couple of them seem to be bordering as 'on the ball'.

I'm still hoping Harry shafts Paul eventually!

IGotItFromAgnes · 18/01/2024 19:10

What was it Diane called Miles on Uncloaked? “You wee shit” or something? That would be a good title (and could apply to Paul!)

I haven’t watched last nights uncloaked but are we allowed to have shit in the thread title? I have a memory of some old MN etiquette where swearing is allowed but preferably not in usernames or titles. May be wrong though!

MotherofGorgons · 18/01/2024 19:22

I still want "Oh my diddly days" in the title somewhere, though that was a couple of episodes ago! or how about "I Want You to Think I am a Faithful ( but do you?)"
