My goodness these are a talented lot! I adored the Irish art teacher’s set, the seaside set and the canoe set. But they are all lovely.

i am so glad they have stuck to the same format and it remains a warm and lovely show admiring beautiful pottery.

A great start to the series

Oh I am surprised. I thought Shani was the one out of the door.

Apart from.a weak design I thought the actual items were made well.

I’ve been watching series 3, which I’ve never seen. Those of you who’ve watched all the series, do you think the challenges used to be harder and the potters produced more unusual, artistic designs? Just on a direct comparison of that series and the first half of episode 1 of this one, the designs seem more cutesy ( and possibly commercial) than they did back then.

Dave's and Donna's were so beautiful. Just lovely. Princess is very good technically. I liked Daniel's Chinese theme as well.

@LaBelleSauvage123 I think some of tonight's designs were quite cutesy because there was a bit of a seaside/doggy situation going on, perhaps? With a side order of Nans.

Haha Maireas, absolutely! I just thought some of it was a bit cliched. Loved the winner though and the seaside one with the bucket and sandcastle cruet was great as it was a strong design. But too many sweet doggies and flowers for me otherwise.

Yes, we'll see how it progresses. The challenges are usually very varied.
Although I'm not sure any one of them lives in a city, works in an office or is pet free.
