I thought Matthew McF had a pretty lame part, in that his character/plot line was so predictable.
Was distracted by the kitchen/"you want soul?" moment tho so may not have fully appreciated all the plot bits , but was glad Shaz was resurrected.
CountessDracula my DH also brought me home the CD - will NOT be playing it again in the presence of my 4 yo DD, who became quite distraught: "But Mummy, WHY are there no more heroes?" Had to reassure her that in fact there are still many heroes, and always will be (hate the word heroines, so have been describing all the Grace Darlings etc to DD as heroes)
procrastinatingparent (love the name!) do quite agree that the writers were trying very hard to get me to not like Gene in this episode. They didn't manage it, tho...
ok, my plot development thesis. Although I instinctively (with my copper's intuition you understand) reckon that beardy J of S bloke is a Bad Egg, there were more alarm bells ringing over her dad. Definitely some ooky stuff going on in that bedtime story routine.
