Dh has gone on a Christmas do - I am not at all envious, I no longer like leaving the house ever and am looking forward to my hotwater bottle and sleep

Hard same as they say Raahh I've got a horrible cold thing and zero energy and still the Christmas tree is in the garage. DH was faffing around with outdoor lights this evening and put his back out 🤦🏻‍♀️ Oh well. Roll on summer.

Well- if the news that Doctors was being scrapped wasn't bad enough - I've just read the Beeb are scrapping QoS.

I stopped watching when they got rid of Sue ,but it was always a bit part of the schedules.

I like Olly- and I thought our entry last year was one of the worst things we have sent in a very long time (and that includes Engelbert).

He is not very strong live, if I'm being honest-(Olly, not Engelbert, Engelbert is great live, my granny has seen him). but has a lot of time to practice. It's a shame he wasn't the choice for when it was in Liverpool though.

I'm on a countdown to the 'Christmas Food shop' on Tuesday -I have prepared space in the fridge/freezer- and the cupboard for -'things that are 'FOR CHRISTMAS only' - even though by Wednesday of this week there will only be the Christmas food in the house and a block of rancid cheddar.

I have thrown away the jar of cranberry sauce that dh bought last year (because he is half American, my Bil comes fro dinner- he claims it is 'tradition'). No-one likes it. The 'tradition' is it lurks in the fridge for a year til we chuck it, before it gets replaced.

I've got the Ultimate Tennis Showdown on- (which is another format I don't get ,and it all sounds like a boxing match).
This is in London- and the match on now is between Jack 'The Power Draper and The Bublik Enemy.

Later Andrey 'Rublo' is playing Rune the Viking- followed by Jack and Ruud 'The Ice Man'.

The commentary is drowned out by the very loud music.

I didn’t even realise that the UTS Finals were happening .Raahh - those names sound hilarious - Bublik Enemy - think I’ll give it a miss!

Good luck with the Christmas food shopping - I always seem to forget that we also need normal food in the week before Christmas ( although I mainly seem to be living on peanuts and wine ) I’ve given up buying cranberry sauce as I used to end up throwing it out every year!

Richard Gasquet has been at Rafa’s academy - there’s a nice picture of them together. My DM thinks I should go to Brisbane to watch Rafa - I think it’s a bit of a long way to go!

In an attempt to get festive we went to see Wonka yesterday - it’s ok but not amazing - DH hated it - ho ho ho!

Fizzy I realised when the match ended that I was watching UTS matches from Saturday- and I couldn't make sense of it, so didn't bother with final . Some of the names were better than others ( not sure if they picked them themselves) 'Bublik Enemy' certainly took more thought than 'Rublo' or 'La Monf' Big Foe stuck with Big Foe.

Bizarrely, I found a second jar of cranberry sauce in the cupboard - and we had a new kitchen last year, and cleared the cupboards before that. So no idea where this rogue jar came from. Unless I bought 2 lat year. .

I can't decide if I want to watch 'Wonka'.
I few years back, I took dd2 to the cinema on New Year's day, and it made a nice change, (and was almost empty) - so might think about doing that.

I remember taking mine to the cinema on Christmas Eve when they were little - that was quite nice - I think we went to see Madagascar one year

I don't like the idea of breeding Cranberry sauce.

Today, my festive mission was to buy glasses wipes for the girls' stockings.
But I can't be bothered, frankly . So I will add it to the list of things to do tomorrow

DS came home from uni on Friday, so has been watching some of the UTS. What I saw looked even more random than the Next Gen and louder aswell. Plus some weird presenters/interviewers
Still, well done to Jack for winning it!

I always used to watch Sports Personality of the Year but haven't bothered for a while now. It's just not the same. But I hope everyone has voted for Alfie Hewett

Went to see some Christmas lights and listened to some carols in a pub which was nice - roll on Boxing Day
