I would like my veggies to taste like veggies. Not meat. 🤦‍♀️

I must ask my local chippy if Pukka do a rib-eye pie.

They won’t just show you the door, they'll probably ensure you exit straight through the window. At speed.

fourquenelles · 21/11/2023 20:12

Prawn toast - tick
Rib eye beef - tick
Bao buns - tick

All the rest is just fluff

littlbrowndog · 21/11/2023 20:13

Meat fakery

Pebbledashery · 21/11/2023 20:13

Don't tell me Jackfruit tastes like meat

Molly's opera cake takeaway dates from 1890

I think you have been to my local chippy!

Sunbird24 · 21/11/2023 20:14

Maybe Sir James has actually not time-travelled quite as far as we thought, but had a slightly more physically travelling job?

Does it belong in a 'pop up '?

EsmaCannonball · 21/11/2023 20:15

'Service and execution.' Funnily enough, Sir James's family motto.

Whenever I've had it it's been drowned in so much strong sauce (usually barbecue) that I couldn't really tell you what it tastes like!

FoFanta · 21/11/2023 20:15

I have a terrible sense of foreboding over Molly's desert!

The texture looks a bit off to me too..

If Sunbird is right then Sir James discovered his seaweed dish while stranded on a desert island.

ilovesooty · 21/11/2023 20:16

Lauren's dish sounds great. I hope Molly's dessert works.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 21/11/2023 20:17

Kidney bean and coconut purée sounds like it could end up a very strange colour.

Pebbledashery · 21/11/2023 20:17

Fat on fat, sounds like you Gregg?

OP posts:
FoFanta · 21/11/2023 20:17

"fat on fat" Gregg, stop!!!

Only if an army of liveried servants erects a portable tent and ferries in a solid mahogany dining-table set for 24 with solid-silver epergnes.

Blueberrycreampie · 21/11/2023 20:18

@Halsall thought as much!

Like the picnic on Box Hill in Emma.

ilovesooty · 21/11/2023 20:18

I've never wanted to eat jackfruit. This isn't changing my mind.

EsmaCannonball · 21/11/2023 20:19

I, too, am worried about a Baked Alaska in a hot kitchen pop-up situation.
