I've also just seen that Dianne has posted a photo of her dad in hospital marking his first round of chemo. It must be extremely tough for her being so far away from him and juggling being a good dancing partner as well.

I hope that Amy can attend the final in some capacity.

I loved Nikita's levitating shirt. Fair play to Tilly for managing to carry on with the dance off - I'd have been laughing too much to carry on in her position.

It entertained me for weeks. Every time we had Dua Lipa on in the car, and it got to that track, I'd piss myself and my kid would eye-roll about how sad I am. I agree Tilly was ace.

I've been utterly charmed by Vito this season and think I may be in love. He is so funny when he goes on a rant and then his English just goes all over the place 😂

They both just seem like such lovely people and a great match.

@RainInNovember, couldn't agree more about Vito. Hence my last two usernames. Though the love started last year... (and I've only been watching since then really, plus catching up with all Kai and AJ's dances on youtube 🤩 haha).

As for the winner. I mean, Ellie or Nigel. I've been rooting for Nigel since before the show started (hehe) but he's actually rather good. As for Ellie, you could see she had massive potential right from that first, unmarked, dance.

Still missing Amanda of course, but hoping for an Ellie, Nigel and either Angela S or Annabel final but no doubt it will be Layton. He would do a great showdance though...if he could tone himself down a touch. Not something you would usually say about a showdance!

Absolutely no way that Layton will be toning it down tonight. He has made it very clear that he wants to shake his booty, so on a scale of 1 to 10 for flamboyancy amd campness, it will be 11!

Glad there's an earlier start time again for tonight. Agree that there is no way Layton will be toning it down for the couples choice tonight, really excited to see their dance.

If anyone else is a fan of the partnership I would recommend watching the Grazia interview they did together, they come across as really good friends together. Nikita even seems to have gotten a bit of a northern twang to his accent too now.

The BBC does make some odd choices, putting Strictly on a bit too early in favour of Survivor and Blankety Blank.

Yeah, I prefer it when it’s on later. I don’t know why though…..it just seems a bit more magical when it’s on later 😂😂

I assume they put it on early so families with kids can watch (that's a guess; I don't have kids or know much about bedtimes etc).
But having said that, I think the results are on a bit later. Maybe they don't think kids are as bothered about watching those?

As someone with two young kids (6 and 9), I promise you that trying to watch SCD with them in the same room is IMPOSSIBLE!! 😂😂

Some nights I don’t even bother trying and I just catch up on BBCiPlayer once they’re on bed 😂

Oh ,bad luck But they do position it very much as a family show, have people send in videos of kids dancing along etc.

@xsquared, oh yes, am expecting maximum flamboyancy tonight, I was referring to the showdance when he's inevitably in the final.

I actually really like him and Nikita together and feel like it adds another exciting element to the show, so am not totally against it (plus people have discusssed before how previous ringers have won or got far in the show). There's just a small part of him that needs fine-tuning, he did great last week with the AT. He does seem to be dancing with Nikita more too, as opposed to them both feeling in competition with eachother!
