Hi guys I'm just joining this thread late because i am so behind: I'm at the last dinner party episode (the spin the bottle outrage).
So haven't read anything in this thread yet but I will definitely be catching up page by page as I progress!
I think it's a huge cultural difference but as a French woman I am really bewildered by the aggression against Georges on the other thread and at the dinner party 🫠
Objectively, you have a woman (Porscha) who apparently snogged 4 other dudes? So what is that about? That's what Georges was asking. And you could say "oh but what about the guys who kissed her?" : true, I will come on to that. But those guys kissed one woman. She kissed four guys?! What's the story there?
I think it's so weird in this dinner party episode that Georges turns out to be the bad guy for wanting to dig into this, qnd yes, the guys should have been exposed too. It's so so weird to me that you have this big story involving at least 5 people and its all pushed under the rug, with the focus being on Georges and Peggy for "getting involved". I think when Porscha said to Georges "you don't have the right to speak to me like that" and he basically said I have the right to do whatever the fuck I want, it's quite a French or at least non UK attitude of....Well, you can try but you won't control my attitude or speech. She said who the fuck are you, and as he rightly said, well who the fuck are you Porscha?
Now I'm going to watch the next episode but man it's so weird how this big story was treated as a non story by the group. Like what 😆 I also think it's so so lame how we don't get to see any of this gossip situations luve in the UK Mafs. It would be so much more interesting if we had witnessed these events and were watching people now lie or not lie. It's boring how they have edited this show.
