Surely SURELY people can post on here as soon as they've watched it.
If an episode gets dropped first thing, then the onus is on those who don't watch till later to avoid the thread.
Those who watch it when released should be more than entitled to discuss it when they've watched it

Are imogen and Daniel back in it? I cannot understand how toadie and terese ended up married.

.... yes - so they can split up again and bring Paul and therese back together (as they are clearly meant to be). And Toady - really? Another wedding?
Melanie commented on Paul's 6 weddings, but I think toady is up to number 5 now isn't he? And he's only 40 . (Dee, steph tuck-shirt, Sonya, Melanie and now therese).

Was a bit worried they might be doing a dementia storyline with Harold when he'd totally forgotten to get ready for the wedding. But I might be overthinking. There weren't any other signs so maybe he was just carried away with the history book.

Not happy with Therese and Toadie getting married, it doesn’t seem right

So controversial opinion here, I can see how Toadese / Theroad work , I thought it when she helped out at the foundation. He respects her more than Paul ever does and I think she needs that lighter / goodness in her life whilst I think she'd bring a steadiness to them.

BUT I think killing off the two marriages the workers worked in for happy endings is a bit meh and Toad moving on so quick, breaking up the kids home again for a woman named him look like a dick and a shit Dad

I think it'll be a dementia story for Harold. There were other hints in the 'coming up next' clips.

Is the Daniel actor the same as before? He seems to have dropped his weird Scottish/aus accent.

I don’t get why they decided on a 2 year jump. So is it July 2024 in Neighbours land? When will they celebrate Christmas? And I’m going to be REALLY cross if a meteor hits earth and kills us all and Neighbours doesn’t even mention it!

Why not a 14 month jump?

My favourite bit was when they zoomed in on Byron’s name tag so that we could all realise that it was actually Byron.

I think Daniel's the same guy. It was one of Paul's sons with the hybrid accent, not Daniel. Andrew?

Yes Andrew had the accent and I’m sure it’s the same Daniel actor too

I’ve never really bought into Toadie and Melanie.
I do think Terese and Paul are such a set pair that should be together but if it was real life she should never have taken him back after all he did lol.

I think we have to accept that Neighbours is in an alternate universe where your house expands in a moment, you be a teacher with zero experience or training and covid never existed.

I do hope John Wong makes an appearance. I really think he could have a spin off show!

At the Neighbours Farewell Tour thing, they did make it seem like a contest, Paul and Toadie's marriages...

But - while I can see Therese and Toadie together - not yet. Last year, it ended with Toadie and Melanie's wedding, and they've barely had time for the ink to dry on the marriage certificate, let alone fall out and go through a divorce. I mean, I know marriages can fail before they've even got started, but it's not convincing in this case. Unless there's some strange and unbelievable twist we don't yet know about.

Turns out, as much as I thought the episode was really crap, I do still really enjoy yabbering Neighbours here!

The whole Toadie's kids thing is what made this twist so unbelievable. Toad is a tool but he 100% is a decent Dad. He wouldn't have put them through two marriages in two years.

SO happy Neighbours is back!!!

Not sure how I feel about the new epsiodes yet, todays once just didn't really feel "channel 5 Neighbours to me" but I guess there has to be an element of newness with the new platform.

The ending though it was brilliant never expected Toadie and Therese as a couple at all but my god I came away from that and needed to sit in silence for a few minutes!

I completely loved it! I’m e been looking forward to seeing it again, and as soon as it began, I started crying! It just felt like an old friend was hugging me. Such a comforting programme.

Ok ep two and that first line from Susan was annoying because the only people in shock is the viewer. If you’ve been invited to a wedding you would be over it unless it was a surprise wedding.

I also don’t buy why Toadie and Mel broke up.

I think Toadie and Terese would be fine if we had seen it build and I also think it would have been better for the actors.

I think it just would have been better if they had picked it up from a breakup. The two years seems to just be to get Nell into high school.

Can anyone in the UK watching on freevee get the subtitles to work? It says they are on but they never come up. It is a real issue for deaf or partial hearing people especially with voiceover stuff.

@MiddleClassProblem I agree, people at the wedding wouldn't have their jaws on the floor - they knew exactly who were getting married.

I quite liked Paul saying marriage and him didn't work. I kind of felt as though he loved therese so much he didn't want to end up hurting her again so that's why he didn't go through with the vow renewal. But I can't see how they could ever come back together after that, which is really sad, as I think they're a great couple. She'd never trust him now.

Seems unlikely that Melanie would have walked out on toadie or the kids. Maybe she won't be staying in it for long? But that's a shame too. I don't buy that they could be divorced by now! They said she left him a note a year ago. Presumably he'd have waited a few months before really believing it was over, and you can't just get a divorce that quickly to be getting married again now? Still... you can in soapland.

So reece is presumably going to try to buy Lassiters... (had this storyline a few times already!)

Poor Harold.

Oh and I think it's a shame they made Nell that much older.

I don’t think it makes sense for Nell to be that age. I get why they did, but logically it doesn’t work.
