Did she give up her job for retirement money? Because Karl did that dodgy Montana deal

I think there will be a bigger story to come with Karl and Susan. Obviously things have happened over the past two years and they are dropping a few hints and comments in and eventually it'll come out. Looking forward to that for sure! They are my favourite characters so I always like it when they are at the centre of a story. I just hope they don't split up again.

I thought when they lost the money they had a conversation about how they were going to have to work longer than they had planned before retirement to make up for it.

I was wandering if the payout was something to do with some insurance claim (maybe from the fire at the school if she was caught in that).

If I was married to Karl I would invest all my money in jewellery too to make sure he couldn't invest it again!

Yes we've had four episodes so far, Monday to Thursday this week. Nothing on Fridays so next Monday will have the fifth episode.

Don’t like Holly Hoyland. She’s v annoying. But I guess she will be polished by Karl and Susan.

loved Sam’s one liners and delivery “a lot”.

@Rummikub Yes mine did that too, so confusing! I got to the end of the fourth episode and it started auto-playing an episode when Amy went on a date with Levi.

I'm confused about the Toadie and Terese thing. Melanie is listed as a returning regular character, so how does that fit with her walking away? I'm going to go on a limb here and say I think the wedding was not what it seemed.

I haven't had the autoplay issue, but apart from on Monday, every day has been a fight with Freevee not to be directed to an episode from yesteryear. It's nice to have old episodes to revisit and all, but its not what I'm after this week.

This is neighbors not sone complicated Netflix show.

The 2 lady couple now they are clearly HIDING FROM SOMEONE. This is not a subtle show!

Toady and Theresa clearly fancy each other and all we have seen bad is her have sone doubts which she quickly expressed to toady and get over them. Abs the kids are all involved.

So I doubt nothing is going on beyond normal soap opera throwing oneself into things too quickly.

I don't like Holly and I'm ready for that Well to be reopened and throw her down.

Do we know why Holly is living there and not with Izzy?

Not yet, assume we'll find out when we learn more of the backstories! Hopefully her mum is far away from Mal, wherever she is!

Wasn't Izzy going to bugger off with Shane Ramsay, as a likelier financial prospect than Mal? Or maybe I was channelling Susan's wishful thinking with all the drama at the end.

She and Mal define split and I think you are right she made a beeline for Shane.

She was too good for Mal anyway 🤣

I think in one of the new episodes Karl made reference to Holly having been travelling then split up with her boyfriend and decided to stay with the Kennedy's for a while instead of going back to her mum.

Yes that's right. He said he was pleased she'd chosen to come and live with him, he was worried she'd go back to her Mom. And there's a troubled ex lurking in the background in case storylines get low.

I was trying to work out the ages of the young people? Mack, Sadie, Holly, Byron and Cafe Dude
If Mike is being killed off etc, I hope his daughter stays with Jane and has some proper storylines

Mackenzie - she had her gender surgery in 2020 when she became 18 years old, so would now be 21, but with the two-year jump will be 23. This fits with her now working as a lawyer apparently, as she would have already graduated from university in the programme's gap.

Sadie - when she arrived in 2022 she was still at school and would have been 15, so should now be 16, but two-year jump makes her 18. But we haven't seen her much at all yet so she could be at uni or working.

Holly - she was born in 2007 (when Karl and Susan were getting remarried in London) so she should actually only be 16! But she's been rapid-aged each time she reappears. When she guest starred as a child she was older, then again later when she should have been 15 she was apparently 19, some reference made in the past to her studying medicine at university like her father. So now she must be in her early 20s on screen, though presumably dropped out of medical school as she's working at the hotel.

Byron - I don't think any reference has been made to the ages of either Byron or Nicolette. But their mother, Jane, left Ramsay St childless and single in 1989, so both her children cannot be over 30 realistically.

Cafe Dude - "Haz", we haven't seen enough of him to know. But he's grouped with the characters Mackenzie and Sadie so far so I'd guess he will be early/mid 20s.
