And Jane's! She's clearly been doing renos on Mike's buck.

TWETMIRF · 18/09/2023 14:07

I can't decide if I like it or not, felt the ending was too out of the blue to be real

whatsyourusername · 18/09/2023 14:55

I was waiting for the twist I just didn't quite know what. Really can't understand it, also hoping it will be a dream!?!

Kennedy kitchen - I mean who turns a kitchen island around!

It felt really American - lots of product placement - make up more 'done' and it felt a little over acted at time.

Still loved it though and will watch!

OhhhhhhhhBiscuits · 18/09/2023 15:03

I was literally like WTF when I watched it this morning. I'm really not sure how I feel.

TheMerryWidow1 · 18/09/2023 15:27

just watched it, gutted!! loved how it finished the last series, alot of the oldies gone too which is disappointing. But we will see.......

EconomyClassRockstar · 18/09/2023 15:29

Yeah, that was a big fat no from me. It was like watching a cheap reincarnation. Who knew how much I’d miss the Boo Boos!

Starburst8 · 18/09/2023 17:47

MiddleClassProblem · 18/09/2023 13:42

can we talk about what shocked me? It wasn’t the ending…

It was the Kennedy Kitchen!

I noticed this! The way it's positioned doesn't look right.

greengreengrass25 · 18/09/2023 18:48

Enjoying it now

greengreengrass25 · 18/09/2023 19:08

Yes Kenedy kitchen looked odd

All a bit confusing
Nice to see Imogen and Daniel though

Getupat8amnow · 18/09/2023 19:18

I didn’t like the marriage. Poor Paul.

DahliaMacNamara · 18/09/2023 19:21

Can we agree on a time when we can actually post specifics without it being a spoiler? It's very tricky when we're all watching on our own timetables. Next day maybe?

Whatthetrolley · 18/09/2023 19:30

Another WTF response to the end. And I also noticed the kitchen, wondering who's house they were in at the beginning.

It's too weird, still hoping for a dream sequence and what year are they supposed to be in????

Me too! 🤣 isn't it daft what we react to!

I got a bit choked up when Susan first started talking. DP looked at me like 'WTF' when he saw 😂

DahliaMacNamara · 18/09/2023 20:16

Well, yeah, but I don't go there. I just wondered if we could agree on when to stop speaking in riddles on this one. I don't want to spoil things for myself or anyone else.

MiddleClassProblem · 18/09/2023 20:21

I dunno I’m on the fence. I’m an early watcher atm but that might change. Normally if I want to avoid spoilers I just avoid socials though.

It’s really hard with its streaming. I think next day is too far because then some have watched the next ep. But maybe normal neighbours drop times? Choose from either lunch or tea time?

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 18/09/2023 20:22

Although if we all are happy we can just post when we’ve watched it, no riddles and avoid it if you don’t want the risk?

I don’t mind either way.

Fuckthebucket · 18/09/2023 20:31

I screamed at the ending!

It’s ridiculous, but I loved it. And really comforting. I’m the same age as Neighbours and it’s always been around. It felt weird that it wasn’t on for the last 12 months.

I’ll be reinstating Neighbours time, which is usually straight after the kids have gone to sleep 😂

EspressoPatronum · 18/09/2023 20:33

Ok, I’m guessing it’s safe to say by now, but just in case: episode spoiler ahead!

WTF! How are Toadie and Terese getting married?!?! I cannot think of a plausible way to get from both of their relationships in the finale to then getting married today!

Also, did anyone get the feeling that Jane was massively hinting that Mike is going to pop his clogs soon?

And Susan no longer the principle?? I wonder who has taken over…

EBearhug · 18/09/2023 20:57

I avoid threads on the Archers/H&A/Casualty till I've listened to/watched them, and I'll do the same with this one.

I too was shocked by the marriage.

I assumed Susan has retired (hence the gift.)

I did enjoy most of it, it mostly felt like Neighbours, and I liked them referring back to the past and so on. But... oh, who am I kidding! I get wound up by the Archers and Casualty and Home & Away and I used to get wound up by Neighbours, but I kept watching in case it got good again. So this will be the same.

Also, exactly a year ago today was my first day back home after my prize Neighbours holiday to Melbourne- it was 12th September we went to Pin Oak Court.

That's what we said, and by the time we had got over that we had to rewind at least 5 mins!!

My son was catching the product placement all the time - it bypassed me. Perhaps I am now no longer the target audience!

MiddleClassProblem · 18/09/2023 21:16

Happy Ramsaversary!

MiddleClassProblem · 18/09/2023 21:17

It’s lovely to be sharing it all with you again!

I would like to say why do they have to get married? Why can’t they just be together?

OP posts:
WessexWanderer · 18/09/2023 22:25

So happy to have Neighbours back! Felt like a strange episode as no old stories to be picked up, just introducing lots of new ones.

Loved seeing all the old characters. Looks like there could be some good stories coming up, with Jane & Mike. And Harold.

End was shocking! I had a feeling that Therese wouldn't be marrying Paul, but still wasn't expecting that. Hope we get a convincing back story although not sure how they will carry it off.
