Just watched today's episode, what was with the awkward exchange between Dr Boo and Builder mum?
I feel like I've missed something.

I feel like I've missed something.

Builder Mum cut her hand on a Stanley knife and ex-doctor Boo dressed it, she gushed on and assumed he was still a doctor so he had to tel lher before someone else did.
Although she doesn't know why.

I'm a terrible person
Mel coded and no-one started CPR just whizzed her out of the room , then I saw Dr Karlofeverymedicalspeciality return home and I laughed at the predictability of itBlush
Is Mel going to say it's Toad now ?
He got her blood on his fingers

Starburst8 · 05/12/2023 19:33

Thanks for explaining, still a bit odd

I noticed that with Melanie in hospital, Doctor on phone but no one else assisting with CPR or oxygen.

Smidge001 · 05/12/2023 07:50

I can't get used to Therese in trousers. The wrap dresses were part of what made her her! I didn't mind the mickey-take tracksuit encouragement from toadie, but out and about I miss her power dressing.

Me too!

Today's episode brought a tear to my eye with all the reminiscing. Loved it.

It was fun! Trying to remember who knew who.

Michelle is Summer’s ex-step-aunt so presumably they know of each other. Not sure if they overlapped though - maybe when Summer had a different head?

Brett was before the Scullys or the Hoylands I think so wouldn’t know them.

MiddleClassProblem · 05/12/2023 20:37

Maybe they would have heard about Brett via Lou? I can’t remember how their relationship was left but he would be Lolly’s half brother so you’d think there was some contact. But, yeah, probably never crossed paths. They might have met Dahl though!

So frustrated. I had a phone call at the end of today's episode, probably in the last 3 minutes, and I couldn't coax Freevee to rewind it. So what happened? I saw the end of the 'coming up' bit, and now I'm catastrophising.

greengreengrass25 · 05/12/2023 21:58

It's all so daft

Why is Wendy protesting when she's married to a cop, it would affect his prospects surely

Quite interesting to see the oldies but would they really care that much

theconfidenceofwho · 05/12/2023 22:04

I would care about my old school @greengreengrass25

@DahliaMacNamara Mel started 'crashing' so they rushed her off (with Nell crying that another mum can't die!)

I wish when the oldies were back, they had done some flashback scenes too (to help me properly remember rather than google!)

greengreengrass25 · 05/12/2023 22:06

I certainly wouldn't

Yes flashbacks would have been good

DahliaMacNamara · 05/12/2023 22:12

Thanks, @theconfidenceofwho .

Sometimes I remember both names and faces. Brett Stark, no bother. Other times, I sit here going 'Who the fuck is Tess?'.

greengreengrass25 · 05/12/2023 22:13

Was Tess in it?

Who was the bitchy woman in the office with Susan and Jane?

theconfidenceofwho · 05/12/2023 22:16

I've no clue who Tess is either @DahliaMacNamara !

Starburst8 · 06/12/2023 08:02

Tess Bell used to have blonde curly hair when she first appeared and she was a teacher with Susan. I'm sure she used to live at number 32 in the shared house.

Mariposa123 · 06/12/2023 08:56

Didn’t Tess have a relationship with Susan’s evil nephew Darcy? She was friends with Dee pre her disappearance off the cliff.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 06/12/2023 10:43

I hate Jane 😩I think we're meant to like her buy her character is awful. She always has been. Bring back the well and put her in it.

I remember the name Darcy and I'm sure Tess was in an abusive relationship at one point, so it is all ringing a bell.
Yes she was friends with Anne and Dee... Or at least she was around with them all.

NemesiaPinkLagoon · 06/12/2023 14:29

I think Darcy was seeing both of them at the same time, and Dee and Tess didn't know, does that ring a bell with anyone else? There was some drama when they found out they were both in love with him and Darcy and Tess were even engaged?

Mariposa123 · 06/12/2023 16:26

Yesss I’d remembered that too but wasn’t sure if I was on the money there!

also yes to throwing Jane down the well.

also even if they save the school, they should really close off that stairwell. So many accidents there…

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 06/12/2023 17:42

I can't stand Jane either and would happily chuck her down the well myself. She can have Melanie for company. Jane's so dithery and when her son asked for her support today, she should have just said yes rather than playing the guilt card.

I was blanking on most of the returnees. I remember Summer, Michelle and Brett but that was about it.

I know Neighbors was always dumb but was it really this dumb?! It seems to have morphed into terrible US soap territory but for some random reason, I can't stop watching.

Starburst8 · 06/12/2023 18:48

I don't think it was this bad before moving to freevee.
The whole thing just feels like a US cheesy soap now. Whilst watching I forgot they were all still filming in Australia, it all feels too American, I just hope it all settles soon and goes back to normal.

Rummikub · 06/12/2023 21:06

They caused an accident , Leo was injured and they went to prison.
It was a vendetta against Paul .

I'm not warming to newhead Nicolette.
She and Chloe looked dreadful in those short dresses.
So old fashioned

Rummikub · 06/12/2023 21:17

Ah ok that’s ringing a bell thanks.

Yes me too - can’t accept new Nicolette.

Mumofteenandtween · 06/12/2023 21:28

So your child (of unknown age - I’m not going to let this one go!) has just spent hours and hours at the hospital waiting to find out if the woman that she sees as a mum will live. You just get home so what is the appropriate thing to do with her? Perhaps sit down and talk to her? Encourage her to go to bed? Get her to watch something relaxing and funny on the TV to take her mind off it?

Nope - Toadie thinks it is her job to get Hugo ready for bed. Because he couldn’t possibly parent his own child!
