I just saw a Chloe TikTok on the neigbours account and she said that as she's known for doing her own riff lines they are much stricter now but she has managed to sneak a couple in. I think this makes total sense with how some of us have been struggling with the writing. The flow is not natural and the language is not as organic or character specific.

I imagine that Prime have got their hands all over those scripts and have a tight grip on it.

I think the doctor is ma and builder is mum although I feel like it should be the other way around. I hate the name ma, I think it sounds so twee so I feel like builder mum could pull it off more as she is the opposite of twee.

You're right @WhyDoesItAlways - dr is Ma and builder is Mum.

I also thought this, she totally reminds me of him. I think that they both lived in the same house doesn't help.

They should have them in the same scene!

just all caught up. I’m going to have to look up summer hoyland and remind myself of her. I remember her and boys but that’s it. I didn’t recognise her.

I didn't realise Summer was coming back, it felt odd seeing her as I've just been watching 2013 Neighbours and she's just left! 😂

As much as I'm liking the new neighbours, I agree with others the acting and dialogue isn't as smooth as it used to be.
Also can we reopen the well and shove Holly down there?

I remember Brett, Summer and Michelle but wasn’t sure who the person with the dark hair is, they zoomed in on her in the coming up preview so assuming she’s an old character?

I didn't remember him either, but I've just googled him and saw his old photo and I remember him!

I kinda find it weird that the old characters are coming back still but it's good to see them.

O do like the kid characters coming back but would like some to have a proper story.

Apparently the dark haired one is Melissa who was Todd's girlfriend - I don't recognise or remember her.

He looked more like Sam Ryder when he is older

I wish that they would do something with Sam’s character. A dark secret, a hot romance, a drama at work, an opinion on the fact that she is supposed to be living with her dad but he has fucked off to Scotland to be a bike guide and she is stuck living with his whiny fiancée. And now whiny fiancée’s daughter, toddler granddaughter and two other men have all moved in too. To what is actually her dad’s house.

Nell would have burnt the house down by now. Or drowned everyone with pigs.

It's a shame Sam has been relegated to sitting quietly in the background. When she first arrived it was interesting to see her working in the hotel, though also surprising as the people with DS that I know wouldn't manage to hold PA job. But I agree, I wish they would give her a storyline.

agree about sam. She had two words in the last ep I watched and that was the first time in numerous episodes!

I felt a bit bad for Holly. Yes, she is annoying, but she always seemed to be at their house anyway before she and Haz were together!

Glad to see Michelle Scully back - the actress has been in the news the past couple of years with severe cancer which she's recovered from so that is great news.

I had to look her up as I thought she was blonde. And she was.

I remembered her when I saw her picture. I think I had a crush on her lol. But she looks so different it didn’t click at all.

Today's episode brought a tear to my eye with all the reminiscing. Loved it.

I can't get used to Therese in trousers. The wrap dresses were part of what made her her! I didn't mind the mickey-take tracksuit encouragement from toadie, but out and about I miss her power dressing.
