When someone said Summer Hoyland and and Holly are cousins...

It seems that Nell is now 15! She was 14 a couple of weeks ago. No wonder she is so pissed off - they didn’t even mention her birthday!

Meanwhile my son (born a couple of months after Nell) is still 10.

Haha me too! I had to pause it and try to remember.
I always thought old head Nicolette looked a bit like Summer.

Holly's mum and Summer's dad are siblings, isn't that it?
I usually enjoy seeing the old characters pop back in every now and then, it gives the programme a nice depth. But hearing that Summer is back this week, after they name-dropped Dorothy Burke, and when we've just had everyone do their 5 minutes each of flashback week, it does feel a bit OTT with the old characters at the moment.
It just feels to me like the programme has lost its way. Started off with a dramatic twist. Added new characters. A couple of weak storylines. Then a week of flashbacks where we saw so many but learned very little. There's no grip at the moment.
And oh my gosh, Nell, open your eyes when you are speaking, and talk properly!

Yes why does Nell talk with her eyes squeezed half shut all the time? It looks so weird.

It's taken me since last night but finally made the holly/summer connection. She had a brother too? Boyd? And they were stephs step children when she was married to max.

Yes, that's right, I had forgotten about Max and associated Summer more with Steph and Lyn hence finding the cousin thing confusing at first!

I love how David and Aaron’s choices are between living in the middle of nowhere, isolated from their friends and family and cleaning other people’s toilets, as Aaron puts it, or living really close to Paul. I mean surely there’s a not so drastic in between?

@Seasonofthewitches I also laughed at their choice being to live on Ramsey street or live out in the middle of nowhere. But yet last week when they got the phone call from Melanie they managed to get there so quickly. Everyone was sat around in Therese's living room waiting for them to arrive so they can't be too far away!

I got a writing ick again from Byron not getting a text from Reece in the air yesterday. GENUINELY THINK IT WAS WRITTEN BY A TEENAGER!

I like Summer but I hope she’s not reheaded and played by Jody whatsit.

None of the characters seem relaxed or quite themselves. DD was disappointed that Chloe didn’t even have a high ponytail anymore.

We need a light hearted plot. Maybe Susan thinks Karl is coming back so goes full blue box but Harold walks in. Or there’s a local cake competition and Wendy and Jane are annoying and sabotaging and Has proves victorious.

It's Jordy Lucas who is playing Summer, the same actress as before. I looked her up online and saw it on her instagram.
The Boo Boos are obviously going to move back to the street. And Melanie is now a regular character. So it looks like we are heading into more stable familiar Neighbours.
It would be nice if one of the Kennedy children moved back. Maybe now Mal is single he could live with his parents again, and bring his teenage daughter over from the UK.
It would be nice if Holly went back to medical school.
It would be nice if qualified lawyer Mackenzie had a storyline that was not about dating.
At some point the Rodwells are going to have some extended family arrive and move in. Only three of them currently in that house - a waste of Neighbours house space!

I noticed they have put Krista in the opening credits, so I assume she's staying now.

Has Mel been let off on all charges then? I feel like I missed the scene where she got let out of prison…

Jordy! That was it! Glad it’s her. Where would she live? At the Kennedy’s?

Agree that Mac should take Mel’s case. We haven’t seen her do any work other than sat on her sofa with a laptop once. Tbf that’s how I work but I’m not a lawyer.

I don’t want Mal to move back. I really don’t like him!

Is Chloe living at the hotel?

Summer did live at the Kennedy's house for a while. I think her father had moved away and she was still at Erinsborough High so she moved in there.

I have a secret crush on Malcolm 😂

I wonder if Chloe is staying longer? They are heavily hinting that things are not going well with Elly.

Ohhhhh! MAL! It never occurred to me that Mal was short for Malcolm . What an idiot I am. He seemed less annoying in his comeback, so I don't think I'd mind if he returned.

But as for the Hoylands, let's keep Izzy away. She was fine at the time but hey've done her story to death. And I never liked Max at all. Boyd was alright i think - who did he marry?

I still can't remember which one of the new family is Mum and which is Ma, but the white one, Cara, is it? Every time I look at her I see the face of Callum Rebecchi. I'd look them up to see if the actors are related, but it'd be guaranteed to throw up spoilers.

Callum Rebbechi is played by Morgan Baker and Cara by Sara West. They don't seem to be related.

Boyd left with Sky but obvs not still together now so if he came back he would have the potential to bring a family.

The mum names aren’t sticking with me either. Also you don’t hear their actual names a lot so they just aren’t clicking for my possibly peri menopausal brain. It’s builder mum and doctor mum.

When it happened I was thinking that the Stanley knife was going to be poisoned or something by the dodgy brothers but it looks like it was just a vehicle to point out who is a doctor. Karl will probably come back and ask about it too 😂.
