Rose yes, that was it. I do want Toadie and Therese to stay together!

I was never that keen on Rose. But Naomi was fabulous.

That car was so distinctive, as if Holly wouldn’t have noticed it parked at lassisters/Byron’s house (seeing as she practically lives there) the last couple of weeks.
And yes to angry Toadie, looming over Mel, shouting, jabbing his finger in her face. I’ve really gone off his character.

I liked Rose but then it felt like they totally flipped her character.

Is it just me or does Nell give off psychopath vibes? Whenever she talks her head does a weird wobble and her eyes go narrow, I just see it all as the traits of characters that have turned into psychopaths... Fin Kelly anyone 😆😂

I never thought I’d say this but I want the new neighbours back now. I can’t deal with the drama of the old cast. Thank goodness most of them have gone but looks like we might be stuck with Aaron, David and Nicolette. It had become a nice calm show with minimal characters and drama and I was enjoying it quietly in the mornings.
I’m fine with Terese and Paul getting back together though. Although don’t like Mel and Toadie together. At this point I wouldn’t mind putting Toadie in the well tbh.
Nell’s acting is really strange. Hopefully she’ll get better as she gets more experience.

Nell’s still young, she’ll get better I’m sure. It must be hard holding your own with such an experienced cast.

I’m really enjoying it atm. I don’t like Toadie and terase together and they’re clearly not meant to be together by how they’re being shot.

I never liked Mel but I felt for her when she was doing her retelling. I don’t like new Nicolette she’s far too stilted and has a blank face. I never liked old Nicolette though so…

such a shame Levi and whatsherface haven’t come back- I loved them! Fab acting too!

I liked Freya and Levi too, they had good chemistry together and she was pretty watchable!

I fancied both Levi and Freya 🫢

I liked old Nicolette because she was such a fantastic actor and you could really love to hate her at times. This Nicolette is like someone’s big sister who doesn’t have any main character vibes even in her own life.

Toadie and Terese together seems even more bat shit than Terese and Leo…

lol they never mention Terese and Leo's relationship these days 😆

I laughed at the weird photos of each other that Terese and Toadie have on their bedside tables! They look like LinkedIn profile pictures.

I thought about Terese and Leo when she was berating Mel about being untrustworthy!

Toadie and fake Dee as well! Pot and kettle!

ok well todays just showed how hard they find it to eek out a storyline.

And why does Nicolette need another “secret”? It’s perfectly plausible that she and Kiri did not work out. End of.

Agree don't like new Nic. Old Nic was great at what she needed to be, this Nic is trying to be old Nic and failing.

Glad today's show moved the story forward at least.

I'd completely forgotten about Nicolette and Kiri anyway. Might have crossed my mind to wonder what happened if Old Nic had still been in place, but as it is, Kiri never met New Nic.

I’m finding the writing still quite juvenile. We have everyone getting texts at the same time from different people. Police showing up in 30 seconds. Andrew’s aside to Holly and Has. Visit jail when ever you want. Simplistic lines like Chloe point out potential charges to Paul. TO PAUL FFS! Surely he has a decent idea of why he might still be in trouble! Oh and hints of Chloe and Elly on the rocks. Although that is the only viable storyline so far.

There’s little conversational flow and it’s just like every line is plot driven. It feels like it’s over shadowing natural responses from characters and dumbing them down a lot.

Isn’t Mel still a US fugitive anyway?

Is it still the same writers?

it wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve been told to dumb down the reboot.

Oh God, yes, that police response time yesterday. They couldn't have got there faster if they'd been parked across the street the whole time.

Loved Jane and Susan giving Melanie legal advice. They'll drop the charges and you could be released in days. She still assaulted someone, left them for dead and ran away. I don't know Australian law but I'm sure there must be something illegal in there.

Bit of a boring episode today.

Reece is so strong. Her sister died, her sister was suddenly alive, her dad had a stroke, she’s had to leave the man she loves and not a watery eye to be seen. Surprising that airports are her trigger.

Poor Aaron, David is so snippy with him all the time!

On the topic of bad writing I’ve found the writing for Reece the worst. They make her talk in such a weird, robotic way. Like how AI thinks a wealthy person talks. No humour or anything. So they have to have Byron constantly saying how great she is as we’d have no idea otherwise.
