The fact that the families of the women murdered by Peter Sutcliffe complained about it and the production company had to change the name to something less salacious suggests it's another itv troo crime hack job.

Plus, given reductions in (visible) smog and general deindustrialization, it's impossible for anything filmed now but set in the 1970s particularly in North UK to look as authentically Grubby as things were in the 70s

The David Peace dramatisation Red Riding on C4 was a very good evocation of the time apparently

I've met Richard McCann, the son of Wilma. His story of how the waves of this vile act affected him and his sisters lives is awful. He has turned out to be the most amazing man. Really jarring to see him portrayed in this.

I was just wondering that. How is he in the pub spending money while she's earning it in the back of the van?!

Rosie Ive seen him interviewed on TV a couple of times. Came across as eloquent well spoken empathetic and kind

There's a brilliant documentary on Netflix which talks to the son of Wilma Macann and other victims family members. Also the police involved in the investigation.

Think it's called The Ripper. I'm going to watch this again in tandem with The Long Shadow
