Yay well done GB - wish I could have seen it!

I had to look up who that was Jane! I am sticking to my position, it’s a hard style to pull off. Even Carlitos can’t do it.

JaneJeffer · 19/09/2023 19:27

I love the clip of Jack (with bucket hat) singing in the back of the car and Andy looking ready to kill him Grin

He’s singing The Proclaimers 500 miles in a Scottish accent while drinking beer with Andy giving him the finger - hilarious Grin

Annabel is on The One Show shortly. I see more of Roman than my own family these days.

Grin

I saw Annabel on Strictly on Saturday- she looked lovely and, I'm glad that she mentioned her husband without it being turned into a big 'sob story' (although it was very sad).

I had good intentions to watch some of the Laver Cup last night and then ...didn't Grin. It is recorded though- I think it's on Eurosport/discovery (which I appear to have not cancelledBlush).

Looks like Team World have made a good start- Europe are a bit depleted- usually they are the much stronger team on paper- but Stef is injured- Rublev is the highest ranked in the Europe team- and whilst it's nice that Monfils is there, I'm not sure why he is. Fils has been drafted in as the alternate. I am not really sure what the selection process is, to be honest.

Raahh · 23/09/2023 08:46

Oh, and Holger should be playing too- ADF replaced him. (Cerundolo beat him).

Raahh · 23/09/2023 10:01

I've just been watching a bit of the recording of the ADF match- I had forgotten that they favour a strange grey court for the Laver Cup. Still don't like it. Always looks like a computer graphic.

JaneJeffer · 23/09/2023 11:22

I didn't think it was starting until next week!

Look who won a trophy! Well done beautiful.

Blimey! That's a trophy and a half!

JaneJeffer · 23/09/2023 11:33

They should have just given him a toddler to hold up Grin

Raahh · 23/09/2023 11:35

Probably would have been smaller!

Mac must be feeling a lot happier now the Big 3 are basically out of the Laver Cup picture. Team World stand a much better chance.

JaneJeffer · 23/09/2023 11:37

Come on Europe!

Raahh · 23/09/2023 11:39

I'm sure Casper is supposed to be on the team. Not sure when he's playing.

JaneJeffer · 23/09/2023 11:42

He seems to be scheduled for 3 in the morning

I have been watching bits of the ADF match/Francisco- in between trying to fix my washing machine.

Now watching the Shelton/Fils match.

I have also realised that actually, Team Europe were basically Roger Grin- since Rafa didn't really win all that many Laver cup matches and Djok hasn't played very often Grin.

Meanwhile, over in Zhuhai -Karatsev is 4-1 up against Murray in the deciding set in their match.

JaneJeffer · 23/09/2023 20:31

The strictly crowd are tough critics

OP posts:
Raahh · 23/09/2023 20:42

Grin I made the mistake of going on the Strictly threads many years ago- I think it was the year that Austin Healey was on it- so we are going aback about 15(?) years. At the time, everyone on there was just very nice.
I was used to the X Factor threads and we were a bit more forthright on there. Grin

I do lurk on the threads though, to see who the current favourites are.

I thought Annabel did well- I don't think she takes herself too seriously , which is good. (Was lovely to see her son and daughter watching).

JaneJeffer · 23/09/2023 20:50

I just popped on to make a doggy joke which went down like a lead balloon Grin I thought Annabel was really good!
