Oops got the title wrong in my first thread - have requested deletion

Starting tomorrow on itv1

“My Mum, Your Dad is a British dating reality show that is set to begin airing on ITV1 on 11 September 2023. It will be presented by Davina McCall and follows middle-aged single parents heading to a romance retreat for a second chance at love which is overseen by their children.”

From a Google for the show it appears there is already 1 season of the US called My Mom, Your Dad. So presumably the same format.

Anyone planning to watch?

Is this the show that was billed in the media as an upcoming middle aged Love Island earlier this year?

I agree with what you say@omgsally yes Caroline who was the most natural didn't pair up....and Sharon has had a lot of work done.

If Martin M is wealthy and living the life in Ibiza he'd have plenty of much younger women interested for his wallet, he'd be looking at much younger arm candy so not sure why he is on the show either...

I didn’t have any at her age. I still don’t have any on my forehead now and I’m 70. Unfortunately my lower face now makes up for it 🥲

I was thinking that. Maybe it's because I'm so bad at grooming but I think they must have had help with hair (if they wanted it). Same for the kids.
I absolutely adored Martin H's daughter's ((Jessica?) style. Her hair was so so cool.

Fans are now speculating that two of the children – Zach and Mazey – have become a couple after they were pictured together. It was inevitable, putting young people in a house together.

Not surprised I got the impression a few of them were keen on Zach he seems like the type lots of young women go for nowadays. The daughter of Sharon particularly - but maybe it was just because they had to talk about their parents and how they were getting on a lot.

Why hasn’t anyone asked what Martin M’s story is…..is he on there because he’s had failed relationships or has he lost someone??

IIRC when he entered the house it was said that he’d had ~25yrs married, then ~5yrs girlfriend, then nuffink. (mostly in Ibiza) Also said: Luke joining a UK university to start his 'recovery' from living with his dad. 😄

I didn't like it during the dates when Monique said she'd move to Ibiza to live with Martin, if I was her pregnant daughter hearing that I would not be impressed! Putting that so called man ahead of her unborn grandchild, selfish!

I think she said she’d always wanted to live in Ibiza, and they could be neighbours???

Much nicer places in Spain to be honest…

All this talk today about the ladies and Botox and fillers …I had a look at Caroline’s Instagram and she has just posted about having Botox done today on cheeks and her forehead !!

That is a coincidence we have been discussing this on here …and she is having it done…

Wonder if she felt she couldn’t compete?

No experience here, or with anyone around me as far as I know, with tweakments. Perhaps that's why it's only just dawned on me why Elliott has been finding Sharon so hard to read! Lovely couple though and I hope it works out for them.

Her forehead is tight as a drum and doesn't move and her cheeks have a lot of filler in. Lips are always easy to spot, although I have to say, hers are pretty good. None of that is intended as a criticism, as I think she's beautiful but it's very easy to spot.

yep it is very easy to spot especially her cheeks they were the first thing I noticed about her….her cheeks have been filled out a lot. Quite a few comments on DM about it. Each to their own it’s not a criticism. Had to have a chuckle thought someone commented that Martin M looks like Steptoe

He is so, so awful... and very pale for being an Ibiza resident. I know I don't tan but I can manage a healthy glow! I don't know what the appeal in him is?

Loved that Tolullah told him they wouldn't keep in touch. Perfect!

I won’t spoil anything and il come back on at 10 but the bit where bad Martin, Monique and their kids meet up is odd. It’s like we’ve missed an entire episode almost 🤔 Just glossed over though

I’ve absolutely loved this programme.
the children were a credit to their parents, especially Jess, William and Zack. I felt sorry for Luke as his dad was the least respected in my opinion.
