I’ve just seen a clip of Djok doing the phone thing at the end of his match with Ben - he’s a nasty piece of work!

Djok really is unpleasant- and must be extremely insecure in his place in the tennis world, if he has to mock the celebration of a 20 year old. And he was mocking it- I have read things this morning where it has been interpreted as 'imitation as flattery' but I don't agree with that, though it seems Ben is choosing to see it that way. I'm not sure if he believes it to be the case, or if it's easier to rise above it- which shows he is way more mature than Djok will ever be.

I like Daniil and Carlos- so not too unhappy that Daniil won, and Carlos is young enough to more than add to his slam tally. I think Daniil may be in a better place to face Djok (the scars from the narrow loss in Cincy may still be raw for Carlos) - he loves the energy of the NYC crowd- and won't stand for any antics from Djok (he's seen them all now).

I would love to see Daniil mock one of Djok's celebrations if he wins tomorrow. And he's brazen enough to do that. .

I liked Ben's response. It's pathetic how jealous Djok is of the young men. He will never be happy no matter what he achieves.

I see Starey Albert is replacing Carlos in the Davis Cup

He really is threatened by the young players, isn't he? It relly doesn't make him look good.

I didn't really watch the end- I had the sound off, but I noticed the lower stands seemed to empty quite quickly, I wonder how many people actually stuck around to hear him - seemed to be a lot of people leaving.

I don't know why Djok can't see it is his behaviour which makes him unpopular. No matter how many slams he ends up with, he won't be GOAT because there is more to the ultimate athlete than results.

I think Djok has realised that he will never be truly loved lemon so he’s given up trying to be nice and this is his true nasty self! In a way I prefer it to fake ‘love me’ Djok (but I still don’t like him!)

Dalinina and Heliovaara have won the mixed doubles. Apparently , Heliovaara came over with his (now) 6 week old baby - so the baby was about 3 weeks when the family first went to NYC.

They also have a 2 year old, and must be knackered
